    I have a total of 30 GL on my island, of which a third is still forest and (mainly) jungle. I have spent untold turns cutting down jungle already, which is another reason why my development has been slow. And I am still number 4 in the "disease" demographic.

    My plains don't count, because I can't irrigate them. Period!

    Any advances on that?

        /me won't listen to any whining from the player who has the best attack unit of the medieval age, an amphibious assault on an island map and no resource requirement

        and to top all that: such a slow tech pace that those units really come into effect.

        i for one will build plenty of dromons and will consider any galley approaches as an immediate threat. it would be SUCH a shame to loose those pretty axemen in the water, wouldn't it

          Yes, well if you really want to know.....my biggest regret in this game is not that I don't have Iron, but that I have Dromons to contend with when I send my Berserker fleets over

          But thats still a long ways off. Perhaps Sabre will forget about me by then

              i was just about to say something against that, but after seeing the incredible attack animation of my dromons (only against barbarians, don't worry), i got a shock of my own. i had no idea they looked that cool

                                Ever consider what a lost cause it would be trying to attack the Dutch with 4-defence Swiss Merc's in the early middle ages?
