I meant Map Making - the tech I gave you for peace and as compensation for your settler. You accepted peace and the tech, and then immediately declared war again, killing my warrior and slaves.

Therefore if you wish for peace and to mend the badly tarnishd reputation of the Japanese, we would require payment for the secrets of Map Making.

You must recognize that I couldn't let the Celt ic unit take those innocent Japanese back to the Celt homeland to work as slaves for the remainder of their natural life. I had thought you executed them, which is why I agreed to peace with you. However, when I saw they were still alive, my advisors demanded action to free those innocent Japanese souls from Celtic chains.

I hope the world understands the Japanese position. We will make ammends for your lost -- we hope to come to some agreeable position.

Perhaps it's best to keep your troops on the other side of the Hittite empire to avoid any further misunderstandings during these negotiations.

If the Japs are prepared to accept peace for technology, then declare war again the very next turn, what meaning would a non-agression period have to them?

The deal will be peace for Construction. This is not open to negotiation and is there for this turn only.

If Japan does not like this deal then war shall continue and the Celts will provide a very generous offer to the Vikings and get Construction anyway.

It matters not to us how we get it.
