  • Hittite Report
Although I just made peace with the Hittites, I am saddened to report the Hittites have redeclared war on me. I simply asked King Mursilis to remove his troops from my lands and behold! look at his reaction.

I have cleared the Japanese lands of Hittite troops and have again asked the Hittites for peace. Their envoy, under direct orders from King Mursilis, has refused any contact.

If they insist in running troop upon troop upon my blade, well then so be it.

    Byzantium Report
In other news, Queen Theodora of the Byzantium Empire has visited Kyoto. After a night out on the town....and a nightcap in my castle, she has agreed to cease hostilities with Japan. She originally declared war on Japan due to Hittite warmongering. I think she had a thing for Mursilis, but that's just a rumor. Out of all the leaders on our planet, she has the best ass.

    Celtic Report
Rumors from other lands suggest Celtic aggression against neighbors. Byzantium, Aztec, and the Hittite Kingdoms have lost units to the Celts. Can you confirm these rumors, Lord Andydog?

      • Celtic Report 2030 BC

After a failed attempt by the Aztecs to disrupt the settling of unclaimed land to the south, the Celts have launched a counter strike by taking the Aztec city of Texcoco.

Chief Montezuma now has forces bearing down on his palace but still refuses to talk. It is believed amongst our people that peace will only be achieved by the total destruction of the Chief and his rag tag army of suicidal hotheads.

The Celts were saddened to hear that war continues to torment the central regions of the Hittities. We have sent a strike force of 'peace keepers' towards the front in an attempt to calm the situation and to ensure no cities change hands. We must keep the Hittite buffer zone in tact and functioning.

We send greetings to the Vikings, who have sent a lonely swordsman into the former lands of the Aztecs. We would politely ask what this swordsman intends on doing with himself so far away from home?

          • Who, me and the Aztecs or me and the Japs?

We will not attack Japan unless they attack Hittite cities. We only seek to ensure the buffer zone is maintained.

            • a buffer zone is it

the way your posts list all the war s churning up the neighbourhood, it sounds more like a butter zone

              • If you actually read the posts, you'll see that in fact the Celts helped end 2 wars. One was Japan Hittite, and now (albeit indirectly) another one Japan Byzantine.

It was unfortunate the Aztecs demanded a tech, which lead to war between our nations. We did not wish for this war and intend to end it quickly.

The Celts confirm that Byzantium and the Hittite Kingdoms have always been friends with the Celts. There has not been any blood shed and nor will there be. The Aztecs on the other hand you already know about.

And finally, just to reiterate - as long as the Hittites retain their holdings, Japan has nothing to fear from the Celts. There does not need to be war between our nations. All eyes are now on Japan.

My scouts and sources report to me that the volcano immediately next to the Celtic city of Old Man Bottom is now active. The possibility exists that the city will be destroyed by this act of God.

Again, they refuse peace. I will not have a hositle neighbor on my doorstep. I will accept peace with that knucklehead Mursilis, however, he greedily eyes several Japanese cities. This turn he has invaded Japan on three attack vectors (one by sea!). Again, his attacks have been beaten back.

Whether the Celts believe it or not, I also desire a buffer zone. However, we will not accept a Celtic strike force near our borders. If it shows up, it will be attacked. Let's save us both the trouble Lord Andydog.

Theodora is still hot. Peace between our people has been profitable -- mostly for me as she digs my swinging bachelor pad I call "the palace"

                      • No volcanoes appear to be errupting near Old Man's Bottom. Typical Japs and their 'rumours'

(That volcano, incidentily, is the reason for the name of that city! Old Man's Bottom - it could explode at any time!)

The Celtic peace keeping force will reside in Hittitie territory close to key cities in case they get attacked. If they do, war will break out between us. If they don't, then we don't have a problem. We will agree to keep the force away from your boarders though.

                        --> onwards
