I'm currently in Denver, CO on a business trip. Biometrics, physical security, PKI, logical security, et al all on one smartcard.

I'm still getting our PMO off the ground at work.

I've got a Project Management Professional certification exam on August 2

the federal agency I met with in Denver has a lot of expertise in constructions (dams, bridges, etc) While sitting in these meetings, I was thinking that this was your area in project management, right?

Indeed it is. In fact I've just put in a tender return to manage a Northern Ireland airport expansion. They are extending runways (the north side involves land reclamation), putting in new taxiways, new aircraft parking bays, nav beckons, aircraft ground lighting, runway drainage, you name it. It's about £1M worth of management and design fees, the overall job is about £8M. So fingers crossed - it would be the highlight of my career to date!

So is it still airport security systems you're implementing then?

That sounds awesome. Airports are always big business -- so much commerce passes through. I hope you land that one, Andy.

No, I'm not working directly on the airport security job anymore. Setting up my company's Project Management Office has pulled me from most direct work as it takes a lot of time to set everything up.
