A roman legion was vanquished by a mysterious heavy cavalry unit, and another vanquished a cavalry itself. A third interaction between these groups ended in a draw. (On the Eastern Front.)

And yet more roman foot troops were vanquished by valiant Macedonian cavalry. The upcoming battle has stirred the blood of our young, and several members of our military have forged out to meet the enemy. Unfortunately, some of them forged a little ... far ... out.

We are happy to announce that yet another galley has been sunk by the Macedonian Navy, taking a loss while doing so.

The Macedonian historians would appreciate it if the Roman historians would let them know when a battle has taken place and who had the pleasure of partaking in the battle, as it is often hard to tell what the results of battles were, or where they occurred. Thank you.

The silence of the Roman scribes may be taken to indicate the valiant effort of the Macedonian troops in the Battle of Ravenna, which saw major losses on both sides. However, the superiority of the Greek heart, along with the superior numbers and knowledge of the lay of the land, led to a major Greek victory. Claiming the lives of over a half dozen Macedonian Heavy Cavalry companies, and seriously wounding members of nearly a dozen more, this battle took place over nearly a fortnight, and saw blood strewn across the ruins of the famous town of Ravenna when it came to its gruesome conclusion.

The catapults of the town's defenders ranged high over the heads of the first two companies of attackers, claiming only a single serious hit due to the speed of the famous Greek stallions and the excellent horsemanship of their Elite riders. They were driven back, suffering the first casualty of the day, with only one company being able to retreat with any decent strength left. However, they were able to reduce the strength of the technologically advanced Roman Legion to a mere fifteen percent of its original force.

Then the Roman Army, led by Caesar himself, came to the front, and began to engage attackers. Wave after wave of Macedonian Heavy Cavalry came, and the two armies, already weakened from engagements in the recent past, finally fell, taking four more companies of cavalry with them as they went.

While the Roman Armies were defending the town, several Roman Garrison Companies were also set upon by Macedonian riders. Seriously wounding members of two companies and destroying a third utterly, the Garrisons fought valiantly, but the Greek valor would carry the day once again.

Roman Cavalry came as well to meet the charge, but their force was inadequate to seriously damage any Macedonian companies.

Finally, the Roman Legion that began the day was destroyed, and the town of Ravenna burnt to the ground. Macedonia has recovered the Greek territory the Romans had so rudely stolen, and a few Catapults as well to help in future conflicts.
