The attendant tip-toed into the throne room practically doubled over in a deep bow. He placed a report on a stand that usually held a fruit bowl and cold drink. He shuffled quickly out of the room without raising his head.

1889 ignored it, was their any need to read a report delivered in such a manner? He wished he could remember any of the wisdom his grandfather had tried to teach him on that first campaign against Babylon, but he had been much more interested in the affections of the Babylonian women. He remembered one in particular who claimed to be a cousin to the current king.

His day dreaming came to a swift end as he reached for a drink and noticed the report still lying there. In the end all he could remember was his grandfather saying “The beginning of a war matters not quite so much as its ending.”

Ignoring the report, he got up from his throne and went into the antechamber. He yelled for his attendant to assemble the generals and then to clear off that stand and replace the bowl of fruit.
