FYI Jshelr, it is not neccesary for you to bring your entire army to my capitol just to offer your surrender.

Thats because we have a strict "no solicitor" policy. Nothing personal.

                          • Captain Khaemat looked over the wall at the massive army marching past. He had been watching it for three days and still its tail lay somewhere over the distant horizon. It looked as thought the whole Russian nation was on the move.

“We’re ready Lieu…I mean, Captain…sir” said the young soldier as he made a clumsy attempt to salute. Captain Khaemat had not been in the army long enough to be a captain, but when most of the original city garrison had been lost at Aswan, Lieutenant Khaemat received a field promotion from Governor Horemheb in an attempt to reassure the citizens of Luxor.

“Ready for anything” Captain Khaemat thought uneasily to himself as he looked at the large ugly machines dominating the hastily cleared marketplace. He gave the order to fire and closed his eyes tight resisting the urge to duck, unsure of exactly what to expect. The catapults let out a tremendous crack as they leapt to life, each one hurling a large stone over the city wall. The onlookers cheered at first, but when they saw the boulders plunge into the sea of men in the fields below, each one sending a wave of broken bodies crashing into their former comrades, they grew silent. The crowd drifted off to continue preparing the town’s defenses sickened by the thought of war and the soldiers were left to continue their work in the once bustling marketplace.

All afternoon the huge machines lobbed stones, pieces of the town’s monuments, furniture anything over the city wall. As dusk fell the invading army continued its march by torchlight to the encampments just out of range. The bonfires of the camp were so numerous that no stars could be seen that night and Captain Khaemat was deeply depressed. In the end all the carnage had had no affect; the enemy still covered the horizon completely.

                            Combat report:
                            Two catapults fire, no affect.
