          • Waiting for either Paddy, or Snoopy to play on. Both seem to be quite busy at the moment.
            Seriously. Kung freaking fu.

                    • AD 620: Partial turn here I think. Anywho i move some people around etc. and start an invasion into Korea. (At war with Germany as well but they're far away.) Start working on more Trebuchets and MedInf, as we have no horses.

AD 630: Invent "Theology", start Printing Press as the AI already has Education.

                      AD 640: Invasion nears Seoul.

AD 650: Seoul taken with minimal losses. Horses are 2 sq from Seoul, so a Temple is being rushed (dozen+ units in seoul to wipe out 5 resistors, then rush the temple asap) ... soon deciding if Korea is worth keeping going against, as they'll sue for peace with quite a bit to us.

Ad 670: We develop Printing Press; trade it for gold and/or communications to several civs, as well as the two major techs we're short (education and gunpowder). Chemistry acquired for 95gpt to Sumeria (net 81 after the 14gpt we got for PP from them).

AD 680: Peace with Germany, after Taejon falls to several knights. We send them education.

AD 710: Korea continues to fall. Namp'o falls. Wonsan falls. We took but then 'reverted' pyong yang ...

AD 740: Germans get to Pyongyang one turn before us ... drat. Upside is that they soften up Sariwon, taking both pikemen down to 1hp before dieing ... thanks! We took it this turn. Cheju will be next turn. Alliance lapses with Spain, so we no longer have to stay at war with them; we will probably make peace in a few turns, lots of war weariness... GA also ends. Blah. Money problems ... but we'll manage.

AD 750: Nampo reverts ... blah. Ah well.

                      AD 780: Take back Nampo...

AD 790: Took Manpo. Made peace with Korea. Left the save at this point; there's still some stuff to do this turn.

I required Astronomy, max gpt (10, sadly) and max gold on hand (8) for peace; given after manpo was taken. That leaves us at tech superiority (well, even with the top AIs, most of the AIs have all of these techs.)

I left the Germans alone, although they have a lot of military on our territory. I don't think they're attacking us - Korea, more likely - but we may want to kick them out; or not, but i didn't want to risk war with them. We are getting close to being able to roll over them - once cavalry come around - but not until then.

We have all necessary strat resources... Germany is short saltpetre, which is critical (no cavalry). We'll likely want to hit them when possible - with as many cavs as possible - when we get them, because they're the big thread to become a KAI as far as i can tell ...

Demos and vic. weren't particularly interesting so I skipped them (also the GF wants dinner cooked )

Good luck whomever plays next (?)

                          • Actually, it's Modo44's turn. I have the turn order on page 1 of this thread. I played the trun prior to Paddy.

                            So Modo, it's all yours.

                            • Aye aye, playing now.

We're in very good shape, I'd say. This should be a relaxed... uh... 15 turns, right?

790 AD (turn 194, or what's left of it - most things moved)
                              • I see the Koreans got clobberd good. Serves them right.
                              • I Switch some builds. As we can do research now, Libraries get priority over Markets, except in cities, that would lose shields this way.
                              • I move some units north. I don't see a war happening soon, as the main targets (Germany and Spain) have a stronger military, than we do.
                              • I use a trick to see, what entertainers are useless. I switch all cities to governors, then switch them back off. I won't need to change most of them for some time now - only MM the core. And no more wasting of citizens.
                              • Oh yeah, I almost forgot. We have waaay too few Workers.

                              800 AD
                              • I sell techs for gpt, and sell ROPs to weaker AIs for all their gold.
                              • Banking in 5 turns, at a slight loss.
                              • I let fast-movers enter Korean and Spanish lands. We have no ROPs, but I only want the 2 turns the AI always grants, to learn how that territory looks like.

                              810 AD
                              • The Germans take another Korean city. The Spaniards did the dirty work. Suckers.
                              • I see some cities can be switched to Knight production. So I do it. More to come soon.
                              • Many places in ex-Korean lands can be filled with cities. I plan Settlers after the current builds.

                              840 AD
                              • Ivory deal renewed with the Aztecs for Astronomy.
                              • With Banking 1 turn away, we are running a surpulus now, so I rush some Temples in ex-Korean territory.
                              • I decide to make a Worker-Pump in Ulsan. The reason: It has a Wheat on Flood Plains tile.

                              850 AD
                              • During the AI turn, a deal for Wines is renewed with Spain. Only thing is, they get 10gpt more now.
                              • Darn it. The AI researched Banking on the same turn we did (probably England).
                              • Economics started.

After 5 turns, we are on our way, peacefully developing ex-Korean lands. Should be able to get a tech lead, after the Libraries and Universities are up. Here, take a look.

                              • FWIW the marketplaces were being built to increase luxuries, not gold. And the spain weakening up a city thing seems to be their sole purpose in life ...

Good to hear you could get some GPTs from the AI. I tried every single turn except 790 and had not much luck, even with the mid-level ones that usually are so useful

Too bad about banking ... I was hoping to get it first, that's why i went that route instead of towards cav
