GodKing has been looking for PBEM's and his busy time of year is almost over, just some ideas.

Can we rely on the honor system here? Just write down your choices and then post here that you have your list ready. After everone is set, we can post our lists here (provided noone accuses con of lacking honor... )
I'd suggest agreeing on settings first since that will affect tribe choices. I said standard pangea map w/80% water above. Any suggestions for the rest?
Would everyone be Ok with a 24hr turn clock? If a player does not play within 24 hours and hasn't played or warned the rest of an absence, I'll use the admin password, cover the screen with a paper, skip their turn, and send it on. They have been using this method in the ASNG. If we can find a ref to do this, even better. Yeas? Nays?
Regent is fine with me as well as the other settings Rommel and Klo have proposed.
Why are you tagging me with the honor thing?
You are talking to the guy who busted FOUR cheaters in CIV II PBEM's.

I'm not sure i'm comfortable with such a strict 24 hour policy, rommel. I nearly always play my turn very regularly -- usually 2 times per day i check and play, at a mininum -- but every so often work goes really late or whatever and I won't have a chance to play for a day. I'm sure others have the same occasional issue.
Can't we just rely on people to play their turns regularly, and if there is a *regular* lagger, and/or a long unannounced delay, deal with it at that point? Perhaps agree that we'll play within 24 hours and if we regularly violate this we'll be asked to find a replacement? I think it's a big difference between an occasional violation and a regular violator.

I agree with snoopy. We should all be allowed the occassional lapse in play time due to RL. I think we should see how an honorary pledge to play in 24 hours whenever possible goes. If someone steps over that line a lot, we can think about imposing a skip on them then.
Edit: BTW, I have my 5 nominations ready now, assuming map conditions are going to be the above.
I'll say i have my 5 choices ready or will in the next 5 minutes. Rommel, I'm going to send you a PM with my 5 choices, because otherwise i'm going to forget. Just don't open it until you've made yours. It'll be clearly labelled. ^^

So, out of curiousity ... of those of us who already picked out our top (bottom) 5 ... who's already figured out what civ(s) will pretty much make up their (likely) list of chosen civ(s) to play (ie your guesses for what the rest of us will pick) ^^

I didn't tag you with anything. Based on what I've read around here, I was just guessing that Beta wouldn't pass up an opportunity to put you down...
Good point
I have not picked my CIV's yet. When do we have to do that by??????
