BTW, to belatedly answer the past inquiry, I work in a warehouse that distributes wines and spirits, not to mention a few yummy imported malt beverages...

Funny you should mention it. We only sell beer by the case, so once a bottle is broken, all the rest of the bottles from the case just sit around taking up space. To tidy up the inventory, we sent them all to the sales department to use as samples. Unfortunately, some have been sitting around for years. As the beer is a minor part of our business, we don't have a purchaser or salesperson that specializes in it as we do with various wines etc. It just so happens that makes me the defacto authority on it. I've selflessly volunteered to take samples home and determine the drinkability of each brand/flavor we carry. I'm sporting the stunned face tonight because I can't determine if this Samual Smith Taddy Porter is supposed to taste like old, flat Nut Brown, or if its just gone round the bend...
