guys, i've got bad news... my notebook bit the dust yesterday, because of some "optimizations" i intended to do (change cluster size, etc). so, i'm going to try to save the data (my master thesis!!!) and then will have to reinstall everything.

so i can only play the lunch sessions if i get the save early enough in the morning, before i leave. so far andy has mostly sent it early enough for that... but if not, i'm afraid it will be a 1-a-day.

I need to get the save from Rommel before 0730 GMT in order to play it before I leave for work. (I realise my timeslot is 0600 - 0800 GMT, but sometimes in the morning I need to leave a bit earlier than 0800).

It wasn't there this morning btw, another morning session missed!

I hope you manage to get your notebook all fixed up sabre. Obviously it's trying to tell you to stop inciting wars against me!

ok, it's not so bad after all... after removing my 2.5" disk and using in as an external drive in another computer, i managed to recover the vital missing files. about 20 dlls in the system32 folder where size 0.

the worst thing i lost was 2 years of financial data ...

so andy: no problem if i get it after lunch, i'll still (mostly) make it

What a coincidence, it wasn't there when I got home at 8:30GMT either.
