    Greetings allies,

Last month we lost a transport loaded with GI's and Engineers to a cowardly Japanese submarine. This loss greatly damages our forward momentum, but we will not be detured.

As for the grand strategy, I will be island hopping towards Japan, so I would suggest that we split our forces. the Commonwealth could move east island hopping and meet Us victoriously in the middle. Meanwhile China and the Netherlands could concentrate on beeting Japan in the West and Manchuria. This is just a thought, we your loyal alllies will follow whatever plan the council decides on.

    Thankyou friends

we have unfortunatly lost contact with one of our ships and presume it was sunk by the 3 heavy japanese cruisers and battleships spotted a few months ago!

meanwhile, our existing forces are regrouping to attack the island of palau, the last japanese stronghold in this part of the pacific ocean. in the mean time, workers squads are set up in unproductive cities to chop down the jungle and mine the rich hills of the islands there. in 10 turns these cities should have a reasonable productivity to pour out troops every few months. other cities are preparing transport ships and attack forces are trained in the more advanced cities.

our strategists say, an attack on the mainland is unrealistic. our best cities are too far away, our transport capabilities are low and even if we would get there, our beachhead would be obliterated before our troops could do their first move!

but we still await recommendations of our allies. shall we keep taking island by island, or is it better to group the forces to help weaking the japanese forces on the mainland?

please keep in mind that victory points are scored for any captured city. but as we don't have a single tank, movement on land is slow...

        we grieve with their families!

please do keep in mind that the commonwealth already has a (quite big foor) in the door on the mainland. wouldn't it be better if netherlands meets the US on the islands?

we also recommend donating a city on the continent to the americans so they can fly in their troops. the journey across the pacific ocean is a long way and it would be a shame to lose time from all the productive cities in north america...

This sounds good to me. My only requirement for the proposed city is that it has an airport. The American economy is having difficulty keeping up with the costs involved with the rapid constrution of airports.

Interesting game, guys. Makes me want to try the scenario myself. Or try it as a PBEM.

masuro, i was sceptical in the beginning, but it turns out to be quite fun, even though i chose the most underdeveloped civ in this scenario. are if the pace isn't extremely, it doesn't really matter, because 40 turns are not too much (unlikely to have another PBEM stranded)

i could imagine that fall of rome and the napoleonic scenarios could be fun too for playing against sid AI

I would definately like to try another scenario, but I think that the fall of rome is pretty bunk. Nepoleon ero would be fun tho.

Well I played ans sent a turn on the 9th as you can see from the thread, which was month 6 1942, ans I sent month 7 1942 on to sabrewolf.

I have not recieved the July save yet myself so its either with sabre or foirward from there

redboy seems to get a sound error message when loading the save i sent him.
does anyone of you know anything about this error?

no sorry, did you have a problem with my save ?

if not you will have to replay and then resave it from your end and send a new version to Redboy.

                              no, yours worked fine.

i'll replay it, if redboy tells me if this error only happens in this PBEM or also in others.

i had quite some luck with the RNG in the last turn, so i would hate to lose that
