Wasn't it Paddy who relentlessly pursued you? Hmmm, just wondering.

Ah yes, of course. Well you are absolutely right....that I did. No-one in their right mind could deny that. Sorry, yes I am a bastard for that.

building SoZ (that early in the game) got you the attention of the others.
some stats: Iron Civer Tournament- Coliseum B
still 4 players, 2 substitutions (jshelr for conqueror, bongo for LzPrst)
started: 27/04/2004, going for 115 days
now at 1150 BC, 72 turns played
0.63 turns a day, 9.6 hours om average per player
Scandinavia has been "visited" by a horde of horses, well trained (at least veteran) ancient cavalry and horsemen and lost a border town after a sneak attack. This was the Mongolian response to the Viking denial of an agreement on a border issue. By that time the Mongols were allready excluded from tech trades by the Vikings, Carthaginians and Russians. This announcement had followed upon the completion of the Mongolian SoZ. Over the past decades Carthage and Russia have joined the war on the side of the Vikings.
The birth of prince bongo II seems to have slowed down the game a bit, as all players seem to take longer time to play their turns.

don't worry about things you have no influence on...
Friends, PBEMers, fellow Apolytonites-
Aqualung71 of the Egyptians has claimed first blood in the Iron Civer Tournament by vanquishing his opponents in Coliseum A. Our scribes have verified the legitamacy of his victory. He may now retire to his gladiator quarters to contemplate his choice of tribes for the final match. More details on the battleground conditions will be soon to follow...
Also, the Tournament priests will soon be by to present him with his spoils, 6 months of the finest Apolyton Plus services.
Many thanks for the accolades, supreme-leader Rommel.
Alas, I must admit to being lucky - an early SGL built the Great Pyramid of Cheops, and unlike other games my honourable foes did not team up against me for that crime of stupendous architecture and engineering.....probably due to the fact that they were more worried about Paddy's land-hungry Incans than the isolationist and bonus-resource-less Egyptians.
I am sure the final will be a lot nastier that our rollicking fun-filled adventure

Now that the Aqualung has got himself a pretty green reef and has taken to the beaches of Margarets, and has been seen doing a spot of caving.. (must be good to have all this time to himself))))
What are the chances of some updates on the other games in this tournament
