It seems you are a little confused....

The AI only has advantages on Monarch, Emperor and Diety.

The human player has advantages on Chieftain and Warlord.

On Regent it is a level playing field.

Most people who have voted so far play on one of the harder difficulty levels.

This is a point I would like to know better,I mean:

If every units has got specific A/D/M why does it happen that Unit A ( let's take for example an catapult ) at lower levels wins vs AI far easily than higher levels?

I experienced many times that a my unit loose 30% more at higher levels than lower levels against of course the same opponent ( let's say a spearmen ) .

Of course on same terrain, same experience.

          I mean :

Swordsman beats spearmen = 2 times on 3 tries Emperor level

Swordsman beats spearmen = 1 time on 3 tries
          Monarch level

I think this is AI cheats, correct me if I'm wrong

I'm 99% sure you're wrong, but I admit I don't have any evidence to back that up.

In any case, you'd have to do WAY more than 3 repetitions of the experiment to prove that the AI cheated. If you get the same results after 100 attempts then you might have a good case to argue.
Those results could very easily come down to bad luck on the Random Number Generator.

Combat in Civ3 isn't just a game of Scissor/Paper/Stone. The ADM numbers aren't the absolute factor behind the outcome of combat, the RNG throws up some very odd sequences sometime (the 'spearmen beating tank' effect.)

Anyway, wouldn't the chances of a human-controlled Swordsman beating a Spearmen go DOWN on Emperor, as opposed to Monarch, and not up?

Firaxis has confirmed that the AI doesn't cheat combat wise. Your chances to beat a Spearman with your Swordsman are the same, Chieftain or Deity. The difference is, on Deity those Spearmen will be supported for free and cost less.

Warlord. I even tried Regent once, but I was so severely smashed that I postponed my advance. Ok, so I played as Liz, but even so...

Besides, I don't have that much time to play the game, so I prefer an easy match.
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

Emperor... just moving up from Monarch. I'm still not comfortable, but have a really solid win under my belt now, so that helps.

I play all levels. I prefer monarch, but I will do a few emp and then 1 or 2 deity and back to monarch. I sometime load posted game and play them a bit, what ever level they are. The level is not about skill, so much as it is about tactics to use. Anyone that can beat Monarch understands how to play and can adjust to emp/deity, they may not find as much fun at them. It is a function of what you enjoy. If you do not like trading, early wars, being push around for large chunk of the game, you may not care for the highest levels. If you like coming from behind and working out of a hole, you probably will. If you want to skip most of this then you may prefer another level, either way it is all good.

                              Regent currently.

Although I may be too good for this level. I finally got the Magnificant label at the end of the game. The highest you can get I think.

It was a great game. Long though. I had tons of cities. I played a military trait civ peacefully all the way into the late industrial age. I think I may stop playing the Aztecs. Because in this game I was the Japanese. Same traits, but a different starting tech and uu. No early golden age for me. I purposely started a war with my Samurai in the middle ages to get a golden age. I ran out of things to build by the end of it!

But if you get too ahead in techs the other leading civ "magically" catches up. So I had to smash the Chinese with my cavalry, artillery, bombers, and infantry. The first time I had such an impressive attack force. I used to rely too much on one dimensional attacks. My artillery helped soften up cities esp. when I had 15 to 20 of them.

Long, but amazing game. I would think I have this level aced but this was on a premade map. It was an earth map (though starting locations were not fixed- I don't know how to do that). It had bonus resources in all the starting locations. But theoretically the AI should have had the same advantage as I did. I used the starting luxeries and resources to my advanatage. Most premade maps I get screwed in starting locations.

I play Emperor. Some observations about how I see the difficulty levels (based on my experience with the game):

Regent and below: Play any way you want, you'll win eventually.

Monarch: You can almost always play the game on your own terms.

Emperor: You need to work to get to play on your own terms, at which point you're probably going to win.

Deity: You're almost never playing on your own terms, but instead constantly trying to cope with the sick advantages the AI gets.

By "play the game on your own terms" I mean that most of your decisions are based on preference, rather than necessity. For example, playing a pure builder strategy is a preference, and is very difficult to pull off on any level higher than Monarch.
