I was using some as a relative term. CTP sold far more than 50 copies. Many of these copies were returned though

Odd... when I bought CtP, I realized what am I buying. Actually, I have played a game of CtP before buying it, and liked it.

Maybe most Americans are just more impulsive buyers than those in the Baltic region. Nearly everyone I know outside of the internet thinks that Sid Meier was involved in CTP before I set them straight. It is the same way with Civ3.

It has nothing to do with Baltic region, and I bought CtP in Berlin . It's just that it contained the word Civilization in the title, which tricked many into thinking Sid is taking part. Good trick by Craptivision.

Yep. They even tried to pass it off as the official sequel. If they called it a spin-off, I might have been ok with that, but to call it a sequel was horrible.

Yes, and this is one of the reasons there was the wrangling in court between Activision and MicroProse.

Back to the topic. If something like cheating can make something like CTP seem even worse, than it can have an even greater affect on the truly good games
