Yeah - a few patches and it'll be fine.

As for 700MB, that sounds good to me - don't know why, I'm just shallow and like games with loads of stuff...

        To oldtimer and bugkillers

a Crash? it has to be icqs fault icq seems to take up tonnes of memory and mucks up.
Hopefully we won't need too big a patch, i'm sure some bugs will pop up.
Nice to see you again Old timer - lots of rivers is pretty realistic, please tell me you can travel up river with some kind of boat at least. Rivers in real life slow down troop movements a lot, Its probably an advantage for defenders, even heavy tanks (maybe more so) will have difficulty reaching your cities, unless theres bridges available.
I'd appreciate your help oldtimer on that Mantra project.. i'll email you in private.

Yes I just found it myself... dont right click on the leader picture on the diplomacy screen

First impressions? AI is pretty darn good. I dont have any wonders and ive lost 2 cities. Btw Im on turn 63.

But I cant figure out how trade works and there are so many bleedin info screens for micromanagement. Hey you can also enslave workers

Also I think it takes too long to build improvements and units. Atleast early on.....

          Oh yes- Barbarians are everywhere!

First, regarding rivers, my poor Greeks have none in sight. I can't irrigate anything! So whoever posted that rivers are everywhere, that may be the case in his game but not mine.

As for the interface, it's not bad, just different. I've been playing for about 90 minutes now, and I'm starting to get the hang of it.
Firaxis - please make an updated version of Colonization! That game was the best, even if it was a little un-PC.

However the large savegame size gives two bad points.

1 : It's going to be a pain in the ass saving games. Probably take a minute or two.
2 : It's not going to be easy doing progressive/dynastic games anymore. I mean it takes me a good 10 minutes to get a file that size on my 56.
Just FYI, saving games is really fast (at least as I've noticed). The files aren't compressed, which is what makes saving them extremely quick. With WinZip on maximum compression, my savegames usually compress down to a couple hundred Kb.

Dan... what are you doing up so late?! Shouldn't you be at home resting after a long day at work?

How does it feel not being raked over the coals for information?

Ugh, don't remind me. As soon as I heard other people were getting their's early, I called Stop & Save at Arundel Mills Mall where I'd pre-ordered the game. They won't be getting it until Wednesday either. I *knew* I should've ordered from EB!!!

Well, what I *should* be doing is studying for a Network Security mid-term. But the ECB mode of DES is so thrilling I could barely contain myself.

Faded Glory, any specific reason the interface is annoying?
I don't do drugs anymore 'cause i find i can get the same effect by standing up really fast.

I live in my own little world, but its ok; they know me here.
