You didn´t get my meaning; I prefer the old style aesthetically. Happy and unhappy people looking quite identical is boring.

You will be able to edit the graphics and place the old graphics in the place of them if you like to, just don't make me use them.

...and did you notice the roads are no longer various widths? Does that attribute go away in the modern era, or has it been taken out of the game?

I think the new style is due to the need to identify foreign citizens in cities captured by your civ. It can´t be mere chance that french citizens are pink even in the city view.

Wow, I'm really surprised no one picked up on the fireworks over the city in the one map screen...

As far mines go, you can mine grasslands (and even desert) now, you just don't get as nice a shield bonus as when you mine hills and mountains. If you dislike this, you can of course change it in the editor.

Is it the same shield bonus for all grassland, or does it depend on an attribute of the tile that is set when the map is generated?

And the Hospital is now a city improvement. (But what effect does it have?)

That is what the blue things are, I couldn’t just make it out (as it didn't animate) Is it We love the President day? I hope there is other animations for it if you haven't discovered Gunpowder
Sory for quoting twice, the Computer wouldn't load the screenshots so that I could check them until I'd posted (IE insisted on crashing (I’ve been online to long without restarting))

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. When your cities are in WLTKD there are fireworks above the city. Yes, this happens no matter whether you've gotten gunpowder or not, and yes we're aware that isn't historically accurate It's designed to let you know what cities are really doing well, and we thought it would be a little odd to only see that AFTER gunpowder.

Re: grassland mining, you set the bonuses on a global level in the editor, not at the per-tile level.

Hospitals allow you to grow to the third city level (i.e., past pop 12)

Does it not look like this Egyption worker is playing a guitar? I know he isn't but it looks that way.

Here are two items that really stood out to me in these new screenshots:

Mountain Rages, you very rarely saw those in Civ2. It was either a small wad of mountains or one standing alone.
The other is the city screen. It shows all the land surrounding the city, not just the cities land. Sometimes when you have several cities and you're flipping through all of them, it's hard to tell where it's at. Hopefully this will fix that problem.

I have a feeling that October is going to go very very slow...
Where are you from? Put yourself on the Apolyton Map!

Doesn't matter that mush, I just hoped that you had find some other cool animation to use before gunpowder, but as it may be tricky I like that it show all the time more then it being historically accurate.

Good, I like that it is simple, but it could have been done as resources also, as you have the engine to do so.

                                Did I ask about that?
What will happen to the Sewer System?
