Warpstorm I think your economic model needs to be revisited.

Hey, thanks for the link Warp.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

Has anyone discussed techs and wonders that increase food production?

I would like to see a horse-drawn plow tech in the ancient age, tractor tech in the industrial age and maybe a modern tech to represent the scientific research that goes into modern agriculture these days.

The suggested effect would be to incrase the food of each worked tile by 1.

        What do you think?

Great idea, however in may case I increase the output of tiles to the point where growth is already hitting one per turn. What I would like to see is hyper-growth in where the excess accumulated on to 2 per turn for growth of said city.

And similiarly, where multiple cheap units can be created per turn if enough shields are available. Rock and roll, let's fly!

            In that case...
            4-turns per tech stinks
Civ 1, I had a case where I got 2 techs in one turn without the help of Darwin's Voyage (a.k.a. now Theory Of Evolution). It may prevent exploits, but there's gotta be a better way to do it...?

No, that is what some of the big game publishers have told me (i.e. they won't give us money to make stuff if we try catering to the hardcore minority on a new title).

Obviously not entirely true, otherwise modern games would be a LOT easier
