Terrorism should be incorporated in C3: Conquests

I feel that, even though we all hate terrorism, it is a part of human civilization. The game boasts an incredibly true-to-life basis, so it should indeed incorporate one of the greatest modern threats.

Now I'm not saying that it should be a technological advance; far from it. Perhaps it could be incorporated in Nationalism as another espionage tactic, or fall under governments, or something like that.

It was taken out after September 11th. I feel that it should be put back in.

i think an espionage act works well, as getting caught lowers your image or using hidden nationality units.

Why not have barbarians become terrorists in the modern era? They could run into a city (Using a horse or car or something) and recruit civs and run off with them etc..

Espionage work good, since we all know that's terrorism is financed by country in 90% of time...
But maybe a better espionnage system can be good.

Would all governments be able to support terrorism? If any western democracy in this day and age were found to support terrorism, there would be severe social chaos.

How do you 'find' a country supporting terrorism? You dont really, you only support terrorism if 1-2 superpowers say you do

Fundamentalist gov't should be able to support terrorist groups. It's an essential part of world politics/diplomacy in the last years.

civ3 is a fantasy game with some similarities to reality

still terrorism would be fun

well the only reality in civ3 is that ppl live in cities


terrorism will be good like you can finance your own group and plan to crash a plain in a WTC( they can add it as a small wonder so everyone can build and get it destroyed)

terrorism is already in civ 3 to a certain extent. if you go to the espionage screen you see sabotage work. what do you think that means? the shields just disappear? my hoover dam walls just go "poof" and are gone? um no, they get blown up or destroyed in some kind of brutal manner, cuz last time i checked magic wasnt in this game so the walls dont disappear by some form of magic

I believe that barbs should become terrorist units and upgrade along with the weakest civ. i.e. germany is the least technologically advanced civ. all they have are cavalry therefore all barbs become cavalry, that would be better than warriors in 2020 AD.

in all reality what more do you need for terrorism? i.e. you have a nice space shuttle hull almost completed and then in a single turn its gone. that sounds pretty terrorizing to me, just my opinion tho

if you want more destruction from terrorism tho, i could see for espionage, a separate command such as "plant terrorist" and then the terrorist would have separate commands such as "destroy population"- that would kill one pop. unit, "destroy city improvement"-destroys random city improvement, and "destroy wonder"-destroys random city wonder that already exists

of course these would be more costly than using spies. perhaps 4000gp to destroy a wonder with a 35% chance of success. but still these are just my opinions, but like i said i think there is enough terrorism as is
