Yup - my thoughts exactly. We will see what we can see. The only concern here is a GS galley zipping out of a port and sinking our galley with two trrops in it. We may want to consider a plan where they land somewhere on the coast at the end of every turn - provided it is good defensive terrain. The next turn they load and move on. If the galley is sunk without them in it - at least they can cause some havoc on land.
Can not be done. A unit can only walk onto/off a ship once a turn because it uses its moves to do so. The only way to load and unload the same turn is when you load at a city (does not cost movement) and the unit still has movement left.

The best we can do is sometimes move our galley only two and fortify it to get the additional defensive benefit. I would like to move the galley down their cost until we see their border and stop two out from their border. Our galley can see two but they can only see one beyond their border. Next turn we have a full three moves for the galley to move in and drop off the units.

Yes - thanks Harry. You're right. And I like the border idea. Witt has raised the suggestion of Harry and mO going straight in - I still like the idea of them moving to the mountains and then the galley bringing up two more.

      See the other thread.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.
