Yes - I may have to have a heart to heart with him every evening.

At any rate - Lux lives. See the moves thread for the actions this turn.

At least we will be known as an honorable civilization, as well as a kind one. Not sure that will win us the game, but you never know.

Follwing last nights conversation and agreement with Trip, please see the letter to Nathan Barclay of GS in the correspondence file.

Also - please note my latest letter to Trip, and the fictional leeway I have taken regarding some of our 'internal' debates. I don't want him feeling too comfortable about this, or feeling like they can take us for granted.

So which two of you want to be the 'bad cops'?

Hell, I'll be one of the members demanding their world map for writing, after all, it makes since to me.

                Thanks Witt.

And according to Trip, (see new correspondence in the other thread) GoW now wants more money. I am thinking this is OK. I like getting map making earlier and the 13 turn schedule to settle across the strait. And it will clearly cloud the real tech trading relationship we have with GS. Which should help down the road.

I don't have a problem being known as a bad cop. Afterall, I am pretty much in the background since no one else really knows anything about me.

I can be bad cop as well. but of course I'm so busy.

In any case I think we can part with the 20 gold. The other 20 is from GS right? The trouble is convincing them of that.

Thanks one and all for volunteering to be bad cops. After reading the two recent letters in the correspondence files I think we will all be bad cops.

Here is my take. Instead of laying low and letting us provide him with the necessities of life, our good friend Trip has been out wheeling and dealing, and it would appear that he has managed to alienate a good chunk of the world, not only just against him, but against us as well. Now - this was probably expected to a certain point - and I can do damage control and set the record straight with GoW and RP. But man, is this worth it?

I for one don't have the time and energy in RL to deal with the constant crises being created by Trip. We were a nice, quiet, and I would say popular world player until this nonsense. If we are going to continue on this path - I need help in dealing with the other civs. This is taking a lot of time.

And I guess that is what we need to convince ourselves of - is this worth it?

I don't want to see Lux out of the game, but do we feel there is enough down-stream payback to warrant this international kerfuffle being created now, and the ill will which may result.

                      A con and a pro:

If we cross the straight shortly, we don't want everybody there to hate our guts right off the bat.

On the other hand - all this commotion is clearly covering the trading arrangement we have with GS, which may have some value. Although from what I can tell, the only one who had any inkling of what was going on was Trip - and I still don't think he knows the full story.

So guys - please help me out here. I am worn out by all the writing and stuff - and we now have GoW and RP pissed at us. I would support a new poll on the death of Lux, and if we decide to give them life #3, then I will need some help in managing this fiasco.

                      Thanks.

perhaps we can take out Lux and we can say they are aligning other nations against us as our reasoning.

I should try to get a hold of them, or you can.

First we have to illustrate that we are not forcing Lux to cancel their trade with Glory of War. We have no idea why they said that, and why they cannot trade.

oh well. we both sent Togas a PM. I wasn't sure if you were going to.

I tried to explain that we have no idea what deal that Lux had with Roleplay and why they cannot carry the deal through.

also I'm considering writing glory of war.

I don't know why they think we are negotiating through another nation. I may have to explain to them Lux is a soveriegn nation.

I think that we shouldf say in the announcement thread that we already shared some of the gold arround

                            (but not say who)

In the ISDG, realpolitic of GoW posted a message about honesty and that the demise of Lux was due to their dishonesty. He also mentioned ND as well. That is something we should keep in the back of our minds. See this thread:

Well, since I'm not a member of IDGA, I cannot access the page Harry posted.

But from Harry's summary, it's nice to hear that GW doesn't think that Vox is dishonest.
