    Señor Aidun Cian

After some calculations, here are my plans to take the Neu Dem Capital.

In 30 turns away, we will have
10-12 vet Swordmen (but minimum 8, it depends on how many warriors were upgraded. See the related thread)
    2 vet Spearmen
    2 reg Spearmen
on the road West of Santiago (hidden for the ND eyes)

6 vet Horsemen just arrived on the tile west to the ND iron mountain.

We will have 2 vet Swordmen on the road Between Madrid and Saragossa. Madrid (prod. every 3 turns) and Pamplona (prod. every 6 turns) queues set on swordmen.

Turn 29 : we investigate Marlowa and Neu Theben
Turn 30 : we declare war to ND
Turn 31 : The horsemen on the Iron Mountains (ND will move their troops to counterattack and figth these Horsemen)
Turn 32 : The Horsemen fight/pillage/move and distract the ND troops
Turn 33 : The Swordmen/Spearmen combo Stack move north to Marlowa. Only at this moment ND sees these troops. It's to late to react...
Turn 35 : they fight against Marlowa and take the city
Turn 36 or 37 : they are on the Neu theben gates (it depends on if there is or not a Marlowa-Neu Theben road )
Turn 37 or 38 : Neu Theben will be ours.

I know that the gods have inspired me for such a succesful attack. I saw it in a vision.

And now, Señor Aidun Cian, please, come with me to the Tabern, we have some squid to eat....

Of course, we should put one or two units to survey this jungle/mountain area. If ND troops approach, we will see them before they could damage our land, and we will have enough time to react.

We will continously survey our Military Advisor. In case we see that we are weak than ND, we could suppose that an attack will come soon. If not, we can continue to prepare our attack projects as I wrote in my previous post.

I believe our candidates have given us enough information to make our decisions. I ask that all of the leaders of the noble families cast their votes. All of those who cannot decide are thereby giving their votes to me. I shall cast votes for myself and for all of the undecided nobles and shall announce our new General in a matter of days.

Don Pelayo, that is a very good idea. I hope the Gastronome is there too with fresh squid. Let's celebrate Spain's fortune!

            The Decision of Togas:

The majority of the tribal leaders believe that Astrologix should serve as the General of Spain. Several votes were given to me, but not a large enough amount to tell me that our families are uncertain. I shall cast my votes equally amongst the three candidates and declare that General Astrologix shall now serve the people of Spain as our Military Commander. He shall answer only to me, and shall have the following powers:

            1) He may change the posted orders of any military unit, and he shall give their commanders guidelines to follow.

            2) He shall request what military units are to be built and where. Such build requests will override the governors if I agree with him.

            3) He shall command all captured cities and enemy units until I assign a new governor.

            4) He shall make requests for roads, fortresses, and other improvements, and his requests shall be followed upon my approval.

Please join us now to celebrate this grand appointment. May I also strongly recommend to Astrologix that he seek the services of Senor PlagueRat and LzPrst, who have shown great cunning and skill in this contest, and who have loyally served the people of Spain for many years, and hopefully for many many more.

                  Congratulations Gen. Astronicus!

                  At your service, señor...
Will this mean the attack plans be carried through soon?

I congratulate General Astronicus for his new job. I'm sure he will guide Spanish armies wisely.

Also, the very high level shown by the other two applicants to the position show that Spain has not only one, but at least three skilled clan leaders and that any one of them could guide our armies. Astronicus is the favourite of the Spanish clan leaders, but if he decides to leave or (may the spirits don't want it) dies in battle, Spain has two good substitutes.

Long live to the new General!

                        Great Despot Togas, Señores,

It is for me a great honor and a great responsibility to be named General of the armies of Spain.

My first thoughts go to the two other candidates who showed qualities which could have also hoisted them at this post. I am pleased to work from now on with them in order to lead our troops to the victory and the glory if a war would be declared against the ennemies of Spain.

Our country is not in war for the moment. My prime objectives are to set up an army which inspires the respect with our neighbors. For that, I ask our Great Leader Togas to continue carrying out the plans admitted up to now in order to equip us with the iron with which we will constitute a troop of swordmen as well as riders. For that, the collaboration of the governors of Madrid, Saragossa and Santiago is essential. Precise plans of development will be presented to them soon.

Now I invite the heads of clan to meet with in my residence in Barcelona, in order to celebrate this event during three days!

                        Viva España !

                          Pelayo,

My congratulations, I believe you shall be a very good General of Spain I hope that you appoint the PlagueRat and LzPrst as your captains. They are very good military commanders too.

I'm interested in seeing your plans. I'm currently of mind to build a Barracks after Saragossa has built a Temple, in order to provide better training to the soldiers that are about to be trained there.

We'll meet at your party at your residence.

                          My greetings,

                          Aidun Cian,
                          Governor of Saragossa.
