Señor DAVOUT still has not clarified the charges. Though, I believe it has to do with a certain chat log
"The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then we shall save our country." -- Abraham Lincoln

lol ruby. i certainly hope no one saw that

Davout, you got facts wrong. it was my father, Roberto Ninot who was father of Madrid. im his son.

Maybe the charges are against the wrong man?

        RP:

Firstly, I'd like to say I have done nothing wrong to the great lord Togas, or the great land of Spain, tho whom I have dedicated my life.

Secondly, id like to state that Hernan, the squid moron, is a fool, and should be thrown out of the nation for the drunk he is. He clearly cannot remember his history.

My father, Roberto, never lost power, and was an honorable man. I as well have done nothing but serve my nation. Your ancestors, on the other hand Hernan, were enemies of the city of Madrid, and cannot be trusted within its borders. But thats in the history books (which you apparently dont read).

My father died of old age, still in power. He did not chose to leave the city in my power, but in that of the honorable Arnelos, who I have enjoyed socializing with to a great degree.

As for myself, I never once attempted to leave my hometown of Madrid. You must have been drunk, for I have not had a change of clothes in days, as I have been working so hard to pacify relations with GoW.

Your family has had a history of stupidity to it. Your apparently no exception.

I am an innocent, and I trust the good Lord Togas will recognize me as such.

          Señor Ninot is right!

I myself was there on a few of the waterfall-throwings...Hernan, your grandpappy seemed to be a mighty strong one, going down so many times...or was he your greatgrandpappy? your pappy? Eh.

I certainly hope we can make this quick, so I may return to helping my nation's diplomatic status.

I suggest, if someone chooses to divulge the informations of this trial on the main PTWDG board, or to another team, you wait untill AFTER im found guilty or innocent.

if someone like *cough*... screw it, RP: if some backstabber like Hernan chooses to tell GoW that im under trial for treason, and suggests im guilty, and then im found to be innocent, that is detrimental to the team if i should ever hold a diplomatic post in the futur. it ALSO suggests the team has reason to be going around and committing treason.

so keep it under raps, atleast untill a verdict is found.

                  I agree with that.

Sirs, I cannot listen to this and still believe that this man is given a fair trial. For no reason at all, this traitor calls me a backstabber, and suggests that I would report something like this to spite him to Glory of War. This, I will, if further provoked, resign my post as Ambassador to Neu Demogyptica.

                      COMPLAINTS

If this Senor Roberto Ninot were any part of a man, I'd challenge him to a duel on the field of honor, and we would have justice to my clan, which has suffered more insult than any other in it's long and glorious history. We cannot continue to remain idle and to suffer such slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, and further provocation will force, in turn, our own provocation. We shall settle this in the law courts of Spain, if they will hear me, for I believe our nation is a mete and just one.

Firstly, I never touch anything strong then sherry, and only one glass at the evening. No one has ever suggested that I was drunk. Furthermore, did you know that such a suggestion to the Assistant High Priest is considered an offense to the entire country by Canon Law? Ask the High Priest if you don't believe me.

Secondly, the insults are pointless, and they do suggest that his mental faculties are not in correct order.

Thirdly, he suggests that I am a backstabber to the nation, and that I would leak such information to our enemies. I will not tolerate this. I will resign my commission of Ambassador to Neu Demogyptica if this pleases Milord. I will not suffer these groundless insults, and sit idly by as if my family is not hurled degradations at. The Councils of Togas the Great promised my family freedom and the full rights of lordship, and we will use these if necessary.

A duel is an honorable way to resolve these claimed offenses. I am interested to see if Ninot will accept your challange. If so (and if Senor Torqumada will allow Ninot to be breifly released) we should arrange for rules for such a duel.

Roleplay aside, I suspect Ninot was perturbed by the above snippet. This quote definitely runs afoul of the agreed guideline long ago that no one would control other people's characters. I too would be upset if someone had made a similar comment about Fletcher Dejon.

Quite so, sir. However, I said that I would do so, sir, if he were "any part of a man". Secondly, as Assistant High Priest, my duties do not allow it. A second may be needed here.

However, I am sure that you can provide my family justice without shedding of innocent blood...my people's blood. This man has outrightly insulted me as Ambassador and Assistant High Priest, and in such posts, I do want justice done, and the only justice there is in this world is in the law courts of great Spain, where Milord presides.

Senor Dejon, it appears my eyes deceived me, for even now a chap named Noberto Rinot has been dragged into court, having stolen some money from me. He is a slave, and, oddly enough, looks quite like Ninot. Must have been my mistake. Curse my bad eyesight.
