  • Thank you, Milord. I have been very busy, I'm afraid. However, I did send a message earlier this week with the same general lines. I will send another today, but I must say this.

I do believe that the Neu Demogypticans are slowly cutting off contact with us, and this is disconcerting. It is Picahulu, and not I, that is slow to write.

    • DeepO's most recent PM to me, included with my most recent to him
      My apologies, Ninot,

I was going to get back to you, but both rl issues and the discusions on our board has delayed me quite a bit.

I sent a small note to Togas, to explain that we couldn't be interested in math, as we were acquiring it that turn too, and were hoping to sell it to you instead. But clearly, someone has been paying attention to Togas diplo lessons, as it came the same turn to both nations, without any possibility to trade it.

We were under the impression that you might be interested to trade literature for CoL, it's evenly priced, we will have it very soon, and if we're both the first to receive it, nobody should get a disadvantage in the trade.

We're planning on acquiring philosophy as well, so our next research goal would certainly be the republic. Please keep this in mind when setting your tech plans, you should be able to acquire republic from us before it would be possible for you to research it yourselves. (if, nothing unforeseen prevents us, of course, and unforeseen things have a way of happening in this game)

If you would be interested in this trade, let me know, so we can start negotiate the details of it.

I can understand that upon meeting us, you were eager to sign a deal with us, not only to deprive others from dealing with us (and yes, we seem to be in high demand), but also because most likely the situation on the main continent makes a bit of extra cash more then welcome. If you find yourselves in urgent need of gold due to the crisis, we would be willing to offer you a loan. This offer will stand for as long as we can without compromising our internal security, but details of course have to be discussed, and agreed upon by my team.

As to how GS is doing: I'm not sure... I expect everything to still be very well, still happily building towards a superiority on this continent, but as I wasn't able to view all the board discussion the past few days, I can't say for sure. One thing is certain, the amount of posts has only increased with meeting more people, so many possibilities, so many dangers, a truely exciting world!

      Kind regards,
      DeepO of Gathering Storm.
      quote:

      DeepO,

How is Gathering Storm? Are there any new exciting tales from your nation? Out here in Roleplay land, we're just looking for things to do. Reading beeing one of them.

We are in the process of researching Literature. And Roleplay is perticularly interested in what Gathering Storm might want to offer in a trade for this technology.

This way of keeping documents could help you keep records of your exciting tales, perhaps to better share with your friends, the Roleplayers .

Also, is there anything Gathering Storm might like to discuss? I think it can only help the excitement of the game if we increase our frequency of chatting, and share more friendly informations. It will create for more detailed stories, at least

      • the highlight of the PM is CoL for Lit, and news on their tech plans

however, despite my prodding, DeepO wont say more than "building towards a superiority on this continent"

        • Ninot -- Find out when they'll get Code of Laws. We will likely swap it for Literature, I just want to us to try to trade Literature to many nations at once so that we can maximise our trade options.

          • The following was received from Darkill
Thank you for your long and friendly note, i have forwarded it to our Ambasador Senor Picahulu. He will answer asap.
Maybe you have already received a note from him because our Nation too doesn't want to be at bad terms with great Spain.
Not all that informative. Hopefully Picahulu writes soon.

            • I had a chat with Nimitz last night, trying to work out a future tech deal with Legoland. Nimitz was (or was acting) utterly uniformed and vague about what his team is researching, but he implied they were working on Literature (they don't seem to give any concern about trading). I gave him a list of our tech and he indicated they wanted only Math, Writing, and Mysticism. They already have writing! My faith in Nimitz's competancy is very weak.

I offered him Horseback Riding, Literature, Warrior Code, etc but he said they didn't need those techs.

About all they can offer is Mapmaking. He can't offer his World Map unless he gets permission. They might have some gold, but we didn't discuss it, he was more interested in getting gossip about Lux Invicta than really working out a deal, and said that he wanted to wait for Vondrack to get online before giving me anything "official."

              • When are we completing Lit?

Ninot, Good to hear that. We should complete it in a few turns from now (2 or 3, depending of whether we played the turn already).

                When will you complete literature?

                • AMBASSADORS -- Find out if we can trade Literature to your team THREE TURNS from now.

We need to try to get a trade worked out with GoW and Vox.

Neu Dem has yet to write us back ...

Ninot-- Tell GS that we will have it in a "couple of turns" and ask them to offer us Code of Laws when they get it. We will respond with Literature.

                  • I sent another letter to Picahulu:
                    Picahulu,

History Guy tells me that his letters to you go unanswered. Now my letters seem to go unanswered.

Last time I checked our nations were the best of friends, celebrated by the very cute Valentine's Day animation your team prepared that showed our two leaders together in peace and friendship.

                    Why now the sudden change?

                    --Togas

p.s. Please, when you write back, address some of the issues and questions I asked in my last PM.

                    • Let’s hope they’re just sleeping off the big meal they just had, couscous, tabouleh, German (yet non-pork) sausages, Turkish delight, and all, else the next message will be likely be the traditional “I divorce thee, I divorce thee, I divorce thee.”

Perhaps you should send HistoryGuy as an emissary with a big pot of paella

                      • Received from Darekill:
in reply of your pn a few days ago
First of all i bring greetings of ND and some spices which taste great to your squid.

My Ambassador the well known Picahulu is sad to be unable to answer your friendly note since there is so much other things he has to attent to. So i have to do the job which isn't that good because i'm not a good diplomat.

We have almost completly destroyed the evil vilains of Lux Invictica there was no other choice because wittnessing them burning down theire very own citys and destroying the ver valuables of theire own people was just to much for us. If they had fought like men in the Field of honor maybe an honorable peace would have been possible but just running away and burning the houses of innocent people wasn't tolerable. If you should see one of their settlers be warned! Handle them with all the carefullness you can muster. Just tell us where he is and we take care of it.

Maybe we could arrange some exchange of Literature for a thing called Code of Law if you are interested the sad thing is, we don't have that technology yet but would be probably able to give it to you, as soon as we get Literature from you.

Arne has no interests of the spanish roads that are very comfortable but he prefers the hard stone under his feet. and since he is aware of what happened to his mate Thor he has sworn never to use roads if there is any other way to pass a land.

Last but not least i'm proud to tell you that we can prolonge the NAP without further ado until 1000BC it can be possibly prolonged then again but that is something i can't garantee yet though i'm sure that the future looks peacefull upon our Lands. so if you wish just tell me and i will officialy declare the NAP between Spain and ND prolonged till 1000BC.

                        your friend

Because Senor Picahulu is so busy, should I commence contacting Senor Darekill regularly instead? I am sure that if he had prepared no response to my many letters by now, Senor Picahulu shall never do so.

Yes, I agree. Darekill wouldn't "dare kill" us if the NAP was extended

It seems omenous that he termed it as "prolonging" the agreement to 1000 BC, though

History Guy -- Contact Darekill and send a CC to Picahulu. Tell him that we agree to extend the NA Treaty to 1000bc. Make sure to toss in some flowery and friendly language about how Togas and all of Spain wish to proclaim our friendship and extend our peace accord with our great neighbors to 1000bc.

Let him know that we have an agreement already to aquire Code of Laws with another civilization, but we would be happy to trade Literature with Neu Dem for another technology. Ask them to make us an offer.
