(This is purely a roleplay thread.)
Preparation have been made. Two dozen cattle were slaughted the night before and large bonfires burn along the shores on the river, roasting the large carcases. A faint wind wafts the sweet smell of roasting beef up into the city of Madrid, bringing residents out early to the shores to eat and watch Senor Calamari go by.
Togas and his many advisors are in attendance, sitting at a rocky outcropping with the best view of the lip of the waterfall. They drink beer, eat breaded Calamari and await the arrival of The Watcher, the prisoner, and his fate on this, the first night of the Waterfall Diving Festival.
I order that the tossing shall wait until all residents of the city have had a chance to close up their shops, finish their daily farming, and have a chance to eat. Prior to the setting of the sun Senor Calamari shall be tossed ceremoniously into this river at the fastest part, near the edge of the waterfall. We shall all observe his fate. May the spirits of his ancestors aid him so that we may watch his fall again on the morrow.
