Two reasons:

One, this ruse involves them both dramaticly.

Two, they both have shown interest in helping. We could make this GoW-Vox-ND-RP vs GS.

If ND commits troops against Vox, and RP attacks....ND will be mighty pissed and could lose a city or two.

At the very least, tell ND we have had intelligence that RP may use the Vox war to sneak attack them.

Tell them that our alliance remains strong, we have ample forces to keep Vox of Bob, but they may want to keep their swords close by the RP border.

But my preference is to tell them

Actually, ND and RP have known about the ruse since the beginning I believe.

Not RP at least, Togas "officially" did not know of any action Vox was going to take. Of course, he suspected it. Whether he suspected the ruse I wouldn't doubt it, whether he knew it for a fact I don't.

While Vox Controli's attention has been focused on the settlement of the continent, the nation of Gathering Storm has used this window of opportunity to take advantage of their one-time friends and neighbours to the north.

First it was trade pact pressures. Then a road being built towards us - but for what purpose? And then most recently - the final straw - GS observer warriors moving off of their negotiated positions to cut key road links within Vox. A prelude to invasion?

These transgressions will not be allowed to continue. The Voxian senate has called an emergency session to deal with this new and unexpected threat. The vote is unanimous.

I really think it is time to bring RP into the picture.

They wanted to be involved in the war, and we all know how bad it would be for GS to claim their own continent.

RP needs to commit a galley & some swords.
At the very least...they can declare war, and "claim" a galley is on the way...it will at least make GS nervous.

I just looked at the recent sav, and notice that the northern galley has a spearman ....I thought the deal was for 6 horsemen ?
