    I believe I agree with you. Vox is just a bit too slippery for my liking. I would feel a lot better after we had 4 vet Spear and a second Barracks created.

              We are building a 2nd barracks in Bolderberg.

              My proposal would be, let Hurricane produce Spearmen, till the barracks in Bolderberg is ready, and from this time on Bolderberg produces War Chariots and Hurricane Spearmen and Swordsmen in changing orders (supposing that we won't have much money for Warrior upgrades).

                Right, one of the warriors is veteran. And you are right, I forgot to count Grog (about whom I almost forgot). I don't have the game here at work.

                  2 settler pumps. 2 arsenals. A 5th city could focus on a late age wonder, and perhaps grab the Pyramids about the time of Republic.

                  I think I like it.

                  What about detailing Tempest to a Wonder right after it's worker?

                    Tempest doesn't have the shield capacity, if I recall the map correctly. Hurricane is a much better wonder city, with all these irrigated fur plains.

                      So build a 3rd Barracks in Tempest and use it with Bolderberg for arsenals while Hurricane builds a wonder?

                        Hmmm, that would mean we pay one upkeep for nothing. And since we're not militaristic, barracks are a heavy investment, we should try to use those we have. Hurricane is already fit for a good production (if it steals the shields EotS doesn't need), while Tempest is completely unimproved. Without doing the math now (my employer would love me for this), I think we'd need about 20 turns to get a barracks and enough shields to Tempest to be a competitive arsenal.

                          I'll have to come back later. Time for me to sign off.

                          However, I think we should go for at least one Ancient wonder. We'll have to build it somewhere. Which would be preferred? Vet Spear/Chariot/Sword from Hurricane, or a Wonder? We can't build both at the same time in the same city.

                            Tempest can work 3 FP's and 5 Hills, the problem is mining the hills first though. It probably is more suited for a military camp until we are in a Republic.

                            Hurricane also has the advantage that if we did lose out on the GL/Pyramids somehow, it could switch to the Colossus or Lighthouse.

                              Curses, I don't have the map here at work to check it myself... Did you consider, that EotS needs 3 floodplains to be an effective Settler/Worker factory? If we don't count those, how many remain for Tempest? Could you check this, please? I think it wouldn't be wise to hurt a Settler factory with a granary during the REX phase.

                                Tempest needs to expand it's borders for the 3rd FP, and also for the 5th hill. It can actually use 4 FP and 6 hills at that stage without interfering with EotS.
