    6. There was talk before of trading current minimaps, accompagnied by some sort of "don't settle in our future territory" deal. I was thinking on asking them something like that, so that we at least aren't military pressured by RPG (I doubt they would provoke us, but you never know). Any objections on proposing it to them again?

    7. Non-aggresion deals (somewhat related to 6.) Last proposal was to have 20-turn non-aggresion deals, which get automatically renewed in every in-game trade, and which after 10 turns would lead to either another deal, or some kind of negotiation of non-aggresion. True surprise attacks aren't possible, as there is at least a few turns warning if the other team doesn't agree with deals in the last 10 turns of a non-agression pact, but it will create some kind of a running short term relation with each other, so that even if we don't commit in the long term, we will get the benefits of it if we want to. Plus, it doesn't set and end date to a non-agression deal. (it might be an idea for the Vox relation as well)

The turn arrived this morning, but I won't play it today, though. Our company's senior boss spent a party to his 70th birthday, and while I can still type, I'm not entirely sober and better rest the case of the teamwork for today. Either somebody else play it, or I will tomorrow.

If nothing urgent needs to be discussed, maybe Nathan can play it... otherwise we can just wait, no problem in the delay. It will ease tensions on the diplo discussions going on.

Screw it, I play the turn. A cup of coffee helps sometimes, and there's nothing difficult to decide.

          Team Scores:

          76 (+1) Gathering Storm
          87 (+1) Demogyptica
          71 (+1) Glory of War
          84 (+2) Role Play
          66 (+0) Vox Controli
          66 (+1) Lux Invicta
          93 (+2) Legoland

Turn played. All worked as described. No barbarians, Zonk headed 3, towards Cyclone. The settler reached site #7. Both workers started road.

Turn and screenshots will be sent in a few minutes.

Good point, forgot about that. But ideally we want our Barracks city to be producing Vets too, right?

Heh, I just read the message Sir Ralph got from Vox. Either they're snubbing me as ambassador, or they're another inefficient team. Oh joy .

The fact that LI wants to meet is interesting. The fact that the sea narrows on the NW tip of the continent probably indicates that they've made contact with all the other "mainland" civs.

Any suggestions on my response? I know we've been brewing plans with LI in them for a couple of days now, but they haven't really gone anywhere. Just to point out the obvious, unless Vox lets us up North, we're not going to meet LI the way they suggest anytime soon.

                  Thanks, Si Ralph.

DeepO, if RP is willing to delay Writing knowing we won't get it for a while, that's fine, but please don't leave them with the impression we're farther along than we are. The idea of a prearranged deal sounds good, but since they're getting Writing first and Map Making is relatively expensive, what if we see if they'd be interested in getting Map Making and having us research Code of Laws or Literature and trade it to them (maybe plus a few gold if we have to, but not in the initial offer)? We wouldn't get our galleys out quite as fast, but we'd be able to swap the two techs a little quicker.

Regarding trying to meet LI, we can't get there without either Vox's cooperation or a successful war, and in 12 turns (probably actually 11), we won't need to yell across a channel if we do have Vox's cooperation.

                      What happens in 12 turns?

                        Writing, and thus contact trading.

Okay, does anyones else has comments on the message towards RPG? Otherwise, I'll go ahead (in a few hours, most likely), and send them something along the lines proposed.
