I did expect some extra points for us.. Or are they only counted next turn?

Re: Power (Thanks!): we are certainly in front military wise, but either they have 4 warriors against our 5, or they gained some gold from a hut. You can see a bump at 3260 BC, where they arced back to the middle, it isn't enough to offset our warrior completely (But I think we build our 5th one that turn), but at least it's one warrior or some gold. I would guess they opened a hut that turn, there might be a conscript somewhere around. Interesting graph, BTW, I suspect them to be nearly as broke as us (there might be a difference of some 10 gold)
It will slooooowly go upward. May be we even fall behind more. We have four content citizens counting, each gives +1. If we connect a luxury, it would go faster, as a happy citizen counts +2. That's probably, what Neu Demogyptica did.
Roading the luxuries by the river wont unfortunately give us the third gold, since we are in despotism But i guess if it would, then we already had roaded them Just thinking out loud.
So no need to road them for a while yet if not for the movement.
Randolph: you're right, but I don't think we'll get there, and it will work only from one side: Gronk would need to cross the river to get to Hurricane, meaning 2 turns.
Oh, and forget about score... connecting a fur will be needed in a few turns, first of all to connect Hurricane, second of all because EotS will get in the neighbourhood of unhappiness. Other then that, I don't care one bit. In fact, I wouldn't mind being the last in score for quite some time, as long as we are not so in power, and productivity. (and research as well)
I'm not about gold, but about score, as there seem to be people who care about this .
hmm, don't think so DeepO,
I don't care about the score either,
- but beeing last and you will be perceived as the weakest link
- Be first and they start to distrust you think you way to strong and are about to attack them.
(probably subconscience, still....)
So I would like to see us somewhere in the middle.

If happiness gets to be a problem before we get around to connecting our furs, it's not that big a deal to address it using the luxury slider. My current thinking is to irrigate a third FP on the northeast side of the river (to maximize growth after we build our first settler) and then have our initial worker chop the northernmost fur forest, irrigate, and build a road. (A worker from Hurricane can chop the other fur forest in that area and then irrigate and road to finish connecting the cities.)
Where is our next city going? Down south, where the nicest land is, or up north to get us moving in that direction? Or is it too far off yet to decide that?
Alva, I like the middle too: last in Score, first in power
Nathan: one of those two forested furs is going to give us a lux indeed, and for me that would probably be in time. Is there something useful we can do with those 2 chops? and do you know for sure where they would be going to, now that Hurricane is not building a wonder? (Which, by the way, could be a way of certainly give the 20 shields to EotS) (I smell a temple coming my way )
Don't really know what it means, still I thought it was worth posting here
