I agree... let's almost always try to use any WCs , as they have negligible defense value.
The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

We have three vet MedInfs, two elite WCs, and two pikes there, but we need to pull at least one pike and probably both back to Inchon. Vox almost certainly has at least three vet spears, one of them fortified, there.

There is no way I want to use our elite WCs (read potential leaders) against uninjured vet spears behind walls. The idea would be to attack with MedInfs and keep up the attack if the MedInfs are winning but break off if one of the first two MedInfs loses (except maybe if the second leaves its target very badly injured) or if Vox still has an uninjured or only slightly injured spear after our third MedInf attack.

No. We'd need (1) roads that don't exist and (2) Vox's other forces out of the way.

        I meant;
Take city->load (WC) on galley-->move to inchon->unload->attack->move back into inchon
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

That would presumably work. Great thinking! I don't think odds are good that we'd be able to take Elipolis without having to use all our offensive units in the attack, but it would work if we could.

Oh, for some reason I didn't remember that Eliopolis had walls. Sorry about that.

            I wanna attack.

Must... have... blood. Must... kill... Vox...

Hit them with the med infs, and see what happens. If the first one loses, break off. If the first one wins, and the second one loses... depends on how much damage it did. If the first two win, and the third does damage (or wins), and we get past uninjured spears, use the WCs.

First two MedInf attacks succeeded, but our attackers are down to one hit point each. The third failed, taking two hit points off the Voxian spear. A vet warrior is now showing, so I'm taking in the WCs.

Elipolis is ours! Do we keep it or raze it?

Do we lose anything by keeping it for at least this turn?

They don't have fastmovers, right? So, if they can threaten it next turn, we can abandon and bail, right?

                        Great

I think keep it, if only for the cultural borders.

I'd love to rename it "We're Coooooming!" but that would be a bit much, I admit.

Nathan, are there any Voxian units directly adjacent to Eliopolis?

If not, we're safe for this turn. Razing it gains us nothing.
