If it makes no difference to GoW or ND who claims victory. And Vox doesnt claim it. Then why dont you just get the admin password from Trip and play through the turns yourself. You can then choose whoever you want to "win".

plus, ND was like our vassal state too, albeit a really really powerful one

The vassalisation of Vox and RP were common knowledge. The decisions by Lego and GS to go down those roads had effects.

I can assure you, everything after Bob would have gone differently had Lego and GS known that 'shared victory' was in the cards, given the attitudes of GoW and ND towards each other.

The game would have gone into two blocks. ND-GoW, vs GS-Lego and vassals.

Your decision had no effects, until this thread and the previous announcement. And then, not wanting to rain on the parade, myself and some others held our silence while the game was still on.

Incidently, RP was free to pursue winning the game. If they could have managed to build the UN, we most likely would have voted for them. We would not have considered ourselves to be sharing that victory. It was theirs to take, if they could get it.

Still, I think limiting these types of alternatives really hurt, instead of help, the strategies of a MP game. Rules should be made to stamp out exploits and possible cheats, NOT to constrain the freedom of decision teams have in terms of grand strategy. My best suggestion would therefore be to clearly spell out that such strategies are permitted so that teams are on the lookout for anything, and willing to do anything.
Well, see now, we can agree about something in this situation.

            • Actually not, given that the deal was negotiated before a single Spanish city fell.

              • yeah...

I will consider one of the two (depending on how the end plays out) the Victor

                the other in second place

                and Vox in third!

And I repeat myself, the only way our alliance was to work was if it was kept a secret. Only an idiot would make such a thing public. Did GoW and ND make public their alliance to invade Roleplay the moment we pacted it? Hell no. Did GoW and GS make public their alliance to invade Lego? Of course not.

You would have voted for them even if GS was on the ballot? Gimme a break. I find that really hard to swallow nye, considering their ass existed solely thanks to you and their entire economy after the Bobian War served you.

Vox might have been the "survivor" but if any team deserves the bronze medal, it's GS.

(or silver depending on how you look at it)

                    • So umm, is ND planning to play the save anytime soon?

It's not my choice who wins now. GS is out of the game. It's the choice of GoW, ND, and Vox. If the decision is not to trigger victory at all, then don't do it. I'll look at the game as left incomplete... you can look at it however.

My choice is to view what happens how I will.

                          Hmmm Maybe.
But Vox diplo was better than GS.
And it was diplo that kept them in the game.

We wouldn't have been on the ballot, unless we were the most populous other than RP.

                            • I think it's anyone with 25% or more of the population of the world. Something like that. We would have been on the ballot, at least in the period from the time the UN was built.

I wouldn't have wanted to vote for anyone (including GS) except to block a UN victory in any case.

                              • So even if you had the chance to win by UN vote you would not have triggered it?
