I recall that Rommel asked 1889 to do a write-up on progress of the IC Final. 1889 interviewed all players for some comments - I must have given him the screenie to illustrate my errr......difficult circumstances Somehow I am still alive

For all you knew, Euphorica itself could have attacked Sidon as it is the closest city to our own lands.
Ah yes, I'd forgotten about that. Of course you could have attacked Sidon - you had soooo many extra troops

Neither BOH nor Euphorica will be disbanding our military units though unless all four of the other teams disband half or more of theirs.
Good to see that your alliance is so strong that you can actually speak for the Horde as well as your own team
In any case, this discussion has served its purpose. The world knows that Euphorica and the Horde were in a secret alliance to destroy Desolation Row. That alliance remains intact today.
Other teams will surely also know that if they are successful against us, then somebody else will be on the agenda next. You can't keep a huge army sitting around twiddling their thumbs when you can't afford the unit upkeep.
It is time the civilised nations of the world put a stop to this wanton and unprovoked aggression of these warlords

Look, Skro, I don't have any problems with a "We'll kill everyone, then we'll duke it out at the end".
What I do have a problem with is having two teams say "We'll kill everyone, then we'll declare shared victory", as then those two teams never have to fear the backstab that accompanies an alliance. It unbalances the game in such a way that there is no counter balance that can possibly restore enough balance for a workable demogame.
yet another problem is that why would a shared victory alliance stop at containing only two teams? Why not add another team? and another? Why don't all six of the teams just say, heh, lets all sign a joint victory, and we will all win the game. Hurrah, we won, we won...
If anyone wants to argue with me, I suggest that you go and read the Game Disscusion thread in the PTWDG public forum before you post on this issue.
No argument from me. Beautifully said.
I think we should have explicit agreement from all teams that the concept of a 'shared victory' will never be entertained.
Back to the original debate/discussion, I'm gald to see that no rules were bent or broken.
However, that being said, I like the idea of no OOG discussions until an embassy is established, and alliances having to be declared via the F4 screen. It would add an interesting elemnet, and more importantly, an early game 'leveler' of sorts to ensure all teams get off to a good start.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

Call me a skeptic, but I have a feeling the teams in this game would never entertain the idea of a shared victory

Try having an army at your front door and another at your back door. That's a pretty good "early game leveller", although I'm not sure it's helped us get off to a good start

And now you know what your poor ambassador has been living with, My Khan!
"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration." - Hillary Clinton, 2003

ahhh thank you, that makes sense... imagine our lack of surprise that your the Big honcho Desolator would like to stay all locked behind closed doors after he picks a fight
Well, I suppose you could do option three - skulk around on the outskirts of our land, and try and act tough.. but we all know your stack ain't got nuffin.
