  • As long as it's not an alliance to "end the game as co-winners" That brings about a completely different set of circumstances as happened in the PTWDG1.

If anyone dares propose a shared victory, I would not be averse to a dogpile on the offending nations.

Or bring out of game sanctions against the leadership of the offending teams...

Skro: The exploit list was decided upon, and other elements were decided independently. However, there's really not a whole lot there - civ doesn't need a whole lot of rules, unless you're trying to do an iron civer sort of thing, which we aren't. Play by the game rules...

          • Look, Skro, I don't have any problems with a "We'll kill everyone, then we'll duke it out at the end".

What I do have a problem with is having two teams say "We'll kill everyone, then we'll declare shared victory", as then those two teams never have to fear the backstab that accompanies an alliance. It unbalances the game in such a way that there is no counter balance that can possibly restore enough balance for a workable demogame.

yet another problem is that why would a shared victory alliance stop at containing only two teams? Why not add another team? and another? Why don't all six of the teams just say, heh, lets all sign a joint victory, and we will all win the game. Hurrah, we won, we won...

If anyone wants to argue with me, I suggest that you go and read the Game Disscusion thread in the PTWDG public forum before you post on this issue.

Or maybe aqua posted it without us remembering, or 1889 has access to aquas save

                  • 1889 has the powerz....

wow, could explain the whole Vampire situation we have in this game

while the Horde is based on our Word - our "Blood Oath"

ol' man 1889 and his pack are based on their blood sucking ways...

a lot of savage stories are doing the rounds on the powerz of blood sucking creatures, and the many "gifts" they take from the soul of their victims...

                    • Krill,
I was just kidding - no shared victories. It is obvious that no one wants that mess in this game.

                        • No rule violations here then......

However as a pre-emptive punishment for possible future rule violation BOH and Euphorica should disband half their millitray units, the rumours are you fight like puny japanese school girls anyway so it shouldn't make much difference.
                          Are we having fun yet?

I'd be happy to disband half our millitray units...if we had any. Neither BOH nor Euphorica will be disbanding our military units though unless all four of the other teams disband half or more of theirs.

I thought that was the case!

And I too was about to ask where 1889 got that screenie from

I guess I must have posted it - the alternative explanation doesn't bear thinking about I'm getting old and losing my memory. It's the stress of troops outside Desolation Row borders that is making me old before my time
