Senator Rasputin, you have been sighted again, which is appreciated. Nonetheless you are urged not to confuse the "Three Weeds" with the Senate floor. I would like to advice you to cut of that beard, take a shower and sober up before returning here to discuss matters of importance.

Fine. Order in here: I'll have a mug of grog (merely to keep off the scurvy, I assure you) and then see you at tavern for some serious ordering. Before Enlightenment: Chop Wood, Carry Water.
After Enlightenment: Chop Wood, Carry Water.
I reserve the right to speak gibberish in public, to embarass myself as a Senator, and to generally ignore the Bananis Imperialis; assumed competent. The Decadence that was Rome scoffs, I stand in the Bacchanalian temples laughing.

It's relevant to all, I think, so it's better to post here probably:
I think I understand what our gracious Emperor is trying to say, Modo and Joncnunn, and want to spell it out for you.
The purpose of the Senate, and the DG as a whole, is to make decisions on major issues as a group.
The Senate should never, ever micromanage the Emperor. It's a succession game, still - the emperor has control over day-to-day affairs, and I would include in that the specific builds of specific cities, the specific uses of specific units (leaders/armies aside), and the specific build queues.
The Senate should encourage the Emperor in major issues - for example, stating that we should build more Legion IIIs, for example, but not necessarily *where*; that we should attack Carthage, and even attack Carthago Nova or Carthago (old), but not the specific unit moves to do so. Anything else is silly - we'd argue for months about it, and it's unreasonable. Assume the other emperors are competent. Just because they don't have the strengths of you, doesn't mean you should belittle them or be allowed to tell them what to do - go play SP if that's what you are into. Each of us has strengths and weaknesses, some more than others, but that's what is fun about DemoGames and particularly Succession Games- we get to see other people play other ways.<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.
I like your SNOOPY POSTER! - While you Wait quote.
