Remember that while it is only Emperor... we aren't going to necessarily be playing the same type of game any of us are used to. At least some of us will be watching out for the best interests of our own holdings rather than that of the civ as a whole. Fighting cohesive wars may be a very big challenge and may not be the 'get out of jail free' that we are used to in our SP games.

Right now is the time to get a cushion, before the infighting begins. The better we do at the start, the more fun we can have later on doing 'feudal' things instead of trying to survive.

We'll begin it once we have 30 tiles (110% of the members)

Not so much time, as we'll only need the capitol to expand, + to found a new city.

I am certainly glad to see such expert game advice available, cheers!

We have a great start- I like it. I also like the Wheel idea, too. It is important to explore, and we are on a Pangea- so wheels are good. And I bet it will be a handy trade tech for our swift, intelligently guided chariots too.

a quick technical question: My laptop is acting up and causing great amounts of fun loss, not to mention work. Also, in the process of changing houses and phone accounts, and service provider to get a good highspeed service. So, I won't be around much for a bit as it would appear. Could I give someone I trust power of attorney to pursue my tile bid for me in case I miss it?

So are we having a turnchat this weekend or not?

It would be great if we could play up to the point of being able to auction off tiles.
