Man, the purpose of germany is to shred people with those PANzers. And for shure they can win a cultural victory. I bet when they park their tanks on everybody´s cities and demand for cultural aknowledge everybody will!

I always play as the germans so I can tell.. everybody hates them as they're better than everyone else
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

I love the Germans, I play them more than anyone else. It's the Panzers. Come on, they're PANZERS for crying out loud. I'll pick the Germans for simply the fact that I know I wont ever see Bismark and his Panzers facing me.

For Panzers, I think its the extra movement rate. With tanks, I find I still use Cavalry a little bit to get that extra bit of range into enemy territory, but with Panzers, I get the range and the splat that the enemy makes when I run right over them.
I use Posturepedic mattresses for a lifetime of temporary relief.

Other civs also seem to hate it when you just steamroll other civs for no other reason except you need the space.
But then I have never been able to get other civs to like me. Maybe it's because I am usually ahead in techs.
And I really don't like fighting against the new Mideval Infantry. They can take down Cavalry, for heaven's sake!

OK, I agree the German-bashing gets a little out of hand (on more than just this board… as does French-bashing), but you have to admit (A) WWII was a doozy and (B) it was more recent and hence fresher in people's memories.

Considering how much bad lip passes between the English and the French or the Norwegians and the Swedes or the Serbs and Croats or… well I'm sure the German bashing will die down in a few thousand years, give or take a century. It is unfortunate that human being are so… human.

Yes, the British have a few reasons to distrust the French .

I can accept English doing that (not understand, but accept), but what blows my mind is when Americans do it. I mean the French practically handed us our independence on a freakin' silver platter. French philosophers helped provide some inspiration to our founding fathers. Cripes, they gave us the Statue of Liberty. Oh yeah, and they sold us Louisiana dirt cheap.

The way I figure it, when we liberated France in WWII, we owed 'em one by that point.
