Although a longbow is not a bad idea for a uu, the first yew wood bows were invented by the scandinavians. The Welsh just perfected this.
I'm a bit of a Celt myself (at least I think so cuz my hair is flaming red, though I'm actually German), and I read several articles on these possible Celtic, stone houses found in New England. Archaeologist aren't sure if their Celtic, but the design is strikingly similar to dwellings found in Europe. I read an article about ancient runes carved into rocks in southern Colorado that were almost identical to European Celtic runes. Either the signs were coincidentally similar, or the Celts traveled a long way from home. Just thought I'd share this interesting find.
The problem is those stone huts are impossible to date. Who knows if some Irish, Scottish, Welish, or English settle in the fifteen th century built them or someone a thousand years before that (or fifty years ago for that matter)?
