SEATO Meeting, Bangkok

SEATO forces today engaged and destroyed a Chinese transport off Taiwan after it refused to allow a boarding party to inspect it. Meanwhile, new divisions are being moved to the Philippines and Thailand to bolster the line against Communist aggression.

Secretary-General Robert Chancellor stated that while SEATO still wishes for a sort of peaceful co-existence with China, further aggressive actions will be seen as the precipitors to all-out war.

As a sign of friendliness, SEATO requests the Army of the People's Republic of China henceforth cease the militarization of Vietnam and engage in a general cease-fire. If the Army of the PRC will do such, on good faith the SEATO military will do likewise.

Premier Chou En-lai is invited to a summit in Darwin, Australia, to discuss the future of the region.

SEATO asks for the unconditional support of the United States and USSR (and yes, NATO) in ending this war.


Finally, SEATO would like to offer the Arab states a free-trade agreement, starting with mutual investments in Pakistan and in Egypt.

I never got a response about the caribbean, so I'll add the South East Asian conflict to the list of things on my conference. I find it strange that the USA and NATO start complaining about the caribbean but haven't responded to my numerous invitations to discuss the matter. So agree to come to my conference. China did NOTHING to provoke any attack and the PRC has NOTHING to do with the militarization of Vietnam. SEATO attacked the PRC unprovoked, and it will pay. There will be no conference, no peace, no mercy for SEATO.

Actually, China, you may not have, but you are continuing very aggressive policies instated by your predecessor. (I think I hardly need to bring up the innocent SEATO forces dastardly massacred on Hainan a year ago by your illustrious predecessor).

A nuclear arsenal is on China's side. If SEATO forces trespassed on Hainan, they deserved to die. SEATO says it desires peace...this is hard to believe considering there have been NO acts of aggression directed toward SEATO, SEATO brought all this on themselves, they have sown a whirlwind and they will reap it.

Uh, aggression being the execution of unsuspecting soldiers whose only crime was landing on an unoccupied island to view the carry-out of a cease-fire agreement which China has not yet fulfilled (Hue->America).

Academia made a mistake when he named the city Hue. In his new version he renamed it to Dong Hoi. It's supposed to be North Vietnamese.
