The Rah group and the Aussie group
OK, I'm alright now
Let's get three or 4 from each group to commit to a time frame.
Then we methodically pick settings allowing the Rah group to pick the first setting, which will probably be 2x1x. I think we all agree on no city bribe and Rah rules in general, but let's be specific about the other settings.
How's this for a bit of fun...
Rah group player One picks a setting (eg 2x1x)
Aussie group player One picks a setting (eg Deity level)
Rah group player Two picks a setting (eg Small Map)
Aussie group player Two picks a setting (No Wonders)
Rah group player Three picks a setting (eg Large Landmass)
Aussie group player Three picks a setting (Cool, Wet, 4bill)
etc etc, then if necesary work back from the bottom of the group (because the premium settings will have been set) until all settings are agreed.
Once a player chooses a setting, that's it, we all have to agree.
This means all of us will be out of our comfort zone and has the makings of creating a more interesting game.
If the first game is 2x then a return 1x game might be possible with a different set of settings agreed in the same way.
Ahhh, my brain hurts now....
