Stalin declares war on Japan!
Soviet tanks and infantry advance to Mukden from the south.
T-34's slog down North Korea's mountain roads to Seoul.
In the past few turns, the Red Air Force's recon planes have observed hundreds of thousands of Japanese troops mobilizing into Mancuria. Considering the controversy about the Chinese incursion into Mongolia last fall, we only had to put two and two together to conclude that Japan was obviously planning to launch a major unprovoked attack on Mother Russia.
Upon receiving this news, Stalin ordered preparations to be made for a preemptive strike into Manchuria. We would undoubtedly lose in the long run, but it would be better to kill off some Jap forces than to just have all of our far eastern forces destroyed in a sneak attack. Attacking was the only option.
Our preparations were complete earlier this month, and a full offensive was ordered. In a clever move, our sturmovik bombers and motorized infantry were ordered to bypass the enemy cities at the front and strike solely into their rear, to capture poorly defended cities, sell their improvements for a huge sum of gold, and to cause many of the units supported by those cities to be disbanded.
The strategy worked perfectly, as Mukden, Darien, Seoul, and Pusan, each garrisoned by mere infantry, fell quickly to the mighty Red Army. A minor artillery bombardment was conducted against Harbin, but there is no doubt that almost all of the Kwangtung Army is concentrated there so we certainly don't plan to take it.

Japanese forces have once again advanced on every front. Despite what the Soviets believed our intentions to be, we did not want to attack or be in a war with the Soviet Union. We were actually hoping for a continued peace.
We feel that the Soviets made a huge blunder by attacking, they should have concentrated their efforts on defending their borders.
Units transported from the Japanese home islands were able to take over Magadan in the north and Vladivostok near the border with Japan. These same units then converged on Khabarovsk and burned it to the ground.
The feared Soviet Navy in the Pacific was destroyed without a fight as they seemed to sink on their own after the capture of Magadan and Vladivostok.
There was also a large army destroyed in the fortress north of Harbin.
Mukden, Darien, Seoul, and Pusan were all liberated. There was very little damage done to the cities or to our economy. 40 divisions of Tanks, Imperial Army, and Field Artillery crossed the lines into Russia this month, and they will continue to advance until they meet up with the Axis.
Cities taken:
Vladivostok
Magadan
