Interestingly enough the brittish reports never even touch the fact that since they started fighting Japan they've lost several battleships and so far they haven't killed a single one of mine

JAPANESE FORCES SACK WASHINGTON!

In an extremely bold but effective manouver, Japanese troops where landed south of Washington, then in a joint attack the Japanese Imperial airforce and army was able to overrun the light defences of Washington DC and sack the city.
While there are no question about the fact that these troops will be quite unable to hold the city (in fact they have allready evacuated it), significant destruction has taken place there, nothing remains of the industrial or commercial districts of the city as these where targeted in bombing raids and by artillery fire as the city was attacked.
Furthermore the city of Atlanta has also been similarly sacked by Japanese troops, the objective, apart from dealing a big blow to American prestige, has been to make sure that these cities won't be able to churn out more fighting units in a long while.
Japanese imperial marines has also destroyed several industries in the countryside and in Washington's outskirts, it is believed rebuilding these industrial complexes will be most costly and will also take a great deal of time.

This has been a great victory for the Empire!

In other news an american B17 was shot down off the Russian coast, and Russian siberia was bombed by the Japanese airforce.

A battleship which previously bombarded the city of Perth has been sunk by Japanese bombers of the coast of Australia.

A minor brittish invassion of Ceylon has been undertaken, and it is expected that Brittish troops make landings in Japanese held territory within short, however the Japanese headquarters are certain that our forces will have no problem repelling the Brittish invadors.
In a preemptive measure the island has allready been bombed by a small contignent of planes.
