I tried a few times with the random map generation, and the most earth-like results seem to show up with Large Land Mass, Continents, Temperate Climate, and 4 Billion Years settings.

I think we should still start this weekend (USA Sat night) otherwise my experience suggests you just lose momentum.

That is the best time for me right now, as Saturdays I will not ALWAYS be able to play... Or even the afternoons are good for me... Since two of the players are from Europe, we will be looking at an early start...

This is still a diplo and we should use the 3 city rule (vote on it?)

Also, to eliminate hard feelings later we should agree on no early kills, say pre-1000BC?
