History of the World 2.2 - V (Cuz 2 just wasn't big enough)
News has arrived that President Auldinsky has bowed to common sense and has agreed to the terms of the Non Nuke Pact. (NNP) He has signed a declaration forbidding any testing of Weopons of such mass destruction in the lands of WAAR territory. He hopes the rest of the wor will aslo follow suit.
This decalration came after the shock visit of Australain dignatarys to WAAR after centuries of isolation. One Australain quizzed about this change said that the issue of NNP was too big to allow political differnces to get in the way , he went on to say that this did not mean any thawing in the Australains attitude towards the WAAR, but it coud see the beginning of that process.

The Aussies need to know who has agreed to sign the Nuclear Treaty?
So far we believe it's:
UAS
Chinese
Aussies
Zulus (provided we sign the Non SS research program, which we have)
Not sure about WAAR?
EU? I don't think so....
Mali.... it could only strengthen their position....
All signatories will soon receive the tech of Nuclear Fission for free as a sign of good faith and a belief that no one will build the Manhatten Terror!

WAAR troops in Khurdistan were put on full alert last night as alarms rang out across the province. Al ltroops on leave were recalled and the bunkers were overcrowed with men and women,
"Sir this letter jsut arrived in the diplomatic pouch " the aide handed over the sealed envelop to Benjamin Disraeli Secretary of State.
"thankyou son"
He grabbed his gold plated letter opener and sliced through the seal representing the old Mali government.
He slowly read the letter and then pressed the buzzer linking his office to the Presidnets.
"Mr PReisdent, the Mali have responded."
"I'll be right there Ben"
A short while later the President finished reading the letter himself.
"Wow, they asking a lot of trust from us Ben, do we agree?"
"Not sure Mr President, I think we need a slight modification of it to get full agreeement."
"Me too, but at least this is positve, they msut have got a new government formed, giving Timbuktu bakc would be good, but we need our troops out first."
"I agree Mr President, I will send them a rapid repsonse, I wil lget in contact with Mali now."
Mali peace offering
First of all you have to give over Timbuktu
if I have to replace units that are there, I will do so, but as a sign of good faith and for the reasons I have already explained to you that a person's capitol has a special significance to ME (whether I got a palace there or not right now)
I'll give you
Canadienne
Umbassa Underal
the nyou hand over
Burkina Faso
Liberia
Guinea
Niger and
Libya
next I turn over remaining Americans, which are:
New Gao
New Timbuktu
Nashville
that's the total sum extent of every city I got in America
then you return remaining African cities of:
Gambia
West Sahara
Morocco and
Tunisa
I'd like to have you give me a howie and two engineers in Africa for those units in America but I ain't gonna jump and down over it cause I really don't got all that much military there in the first place (as you know since you whacked them all!) and there's really not that much to defend against in America except where you already established)
unless you want me to give you back something that was left attached to a city, in which case I'd be happy to trade as long as I got at least 1 military unit in each city and you honor the peace, as I will
seems to me that's a much more effective way to swap military than transporting them across the Atlantic
Oh, and we at Peace after that.

It is with a heavy heart that we have received word of hostilities once again. Centuries of warfare had seemingly ended as the Mali and West Asian and American Republic finally seemed nearing an acceptable peace agreement. Unfortunatly peace seems to be jepordized.
Acts of EU treachery have now been made clear to the world. The Union of Asian States condemns the dishonest actions of the EU and announces to the world that our proud nation is a victim of this treachory as well. There were many years of turmoil in both EU and UAS, foolish leaders made foolish decisions and both nations attacked peaceful neighbors unprovoked.
After these misdeeds by the EU and the UAS more civilized leaders came to power. It was agreed by all parties that the conquering of EU and WAAR territory was an unfortunate mistake which was to be corrected as easily and quickly as possible. In addition to the correction of unfortunate misdeeds by errant rulers a long unfufiled peace agreement between the EU and UAS was to finally be secured.
President Ozzy Khan spoke with the EU leader to discuss terms of the territory hand over. It was agreed that troops would be moved out of the territories and then the terrotories would be handed over. This was carried out and UAS handed over three fully intact cities to the EU. In response the EU handed over 2 shells of cities to the UAS admitting later that the cities had been pilliaged by EU troops before the turn over.
This is HIGHLY trecherous and dishonest. Wanton pilliaging of property legally owned by another is not how civilized nations conduct themselves. This seems to be a secure pattern of how EU deals with foreign nations destroying buildings in Israel and dismantling WAAR fortresses. UAS does not see this as an act of war but UAS recognizes that the EU is a slimy nation not to be trusted and has called off any plans for a Western Alliance with the EU.
It has also been made clear that the EU has broken a treaty between WAAR and the EU that has stood for ages. In light of the highly aggressive history this region has a Demilitarized Zone is highly needed and a broach of the DMZ by one side is a valid pretense for a limited war to secure peace in the DMZ.
The Union of Asian States propose the following deal:
WAAR troops be used to clear out the DMZ of all troops which is called for by standard DMZ treaties. WAAR troops will then withdraw and leave the DMZ as well so foreign Australlian or UAS troops can be placed as peacekeepers between this two troubled nations.
The UAS sees no need or cause for this slimy act by the EU to create a large deadly war and are confident that the peaceful rulers of WAAR can overlook this trespass and not pursue this matter past the correction of EU's error.

It will please be pardoned if we seem seperate from the world but we are in a transitional phase and the power structure here has not been ratified.
However, we, the Provisio who have taken the mantle of leadership upon ourselves, respond to several issues from the current world state.
1. The Mali do not intend to build Manhattan Project, nor is the research of weapons of this kind within our scope or our interests. Thus we add our voice to those who call for the nuclear ban
2. Since WAAR throws it's conflict upon the world government, we give our opinion, though it must be realized the lack of weight this carries. With regards the the loss of civic improvements we feel we cannot make a judgement. War is expensive. It would be a positive and encouraging sign that the EU wishes to avoid war if they would just make some token monetary gesture to make up for some hotheads looting a library; however, we can also see that those in the WAAR authority appear to blown this out of proportion, so..we say only that it is hard for someone to talk to you when you are shouting at them.
However, on the other issue of the troops stationed as they are, and with only hearsay to go on regarding a similar fortification which was destroyed, our reaction would probably be (as it HAS been) the same as it was when WAAR did the exact same thing to us not so very long ago....i.e., it would be seen as an aggressive act of intimidation to have those units parked where they are. The fact that this particular space is in an overlap and actually rests within the city boundaries of both cities is noted, and technically they have every right to be there, but to do so sends a message which the EU claims it does not want to send so why leave them? Maybe it would be different if they were more defensive units. and not so patently offensive units. Maybe not. Maybe WAAR should utilize the same logic and rationalizations they gave to us when they acted the same way.
But to use an analogy which has been heard from us before -- if you keep poking a man in the chest, how can you be surprised if he takes a swing at you? Even if they are within their own boundaries, they are also with the boundaries of WAAR, and have been asked to withdraw, so it would look like a poke in the chest to us
However, that is just an opinion.
The Treaty of En Nahud saw the Zulu and WAAR agree t osuspend all miltary action agsinst each other.
The Treaty of Accra saw the Mali and WAAR finalise their agreemnt with all of America now WAAR and Africa returned to the Mali.
The Treaty of Bosporus saw the EU under Arty Intelli agree to suspend all miltiary action and asked for peace between EU and WAAR.
To keep the peace the Australians agreed to setup Peace keepers in the DMZ between Bosporus and Khurdistan, and the Mongols agreed to patrol north of Georgia.

Turns out I DID actually grab a save mid turn after all.
So here it is for everyone that needs it....it's right in the middle of my turn, almost right before I got knocked.:
EDIT:
Umm ok, now I'm reviewing this save and a few things don't seem correct after all. A few of the cities that had completed improvements are showing that they didn't and I'd therefore lose a round of shields basically in most cities.....which of course is un-acceptable....
So Raz, please post your save, as the one I have is FUNKY
In a landslide result yesterday, President Roberto Auldinsky won another term in office, under WAAR constitution this gives him another 20 years in office.
Some vital statistics that made for the landnslide vote
Approval rating of 75%
Population 13.94 million
GNP $2314 Mill
Mfg Goods 554 tonnes
Land area 641 000 Acres
Literacy 80%
Disease 8%
Some great figures that the current adminsitration can be proud of.
Well that was by far the most enjoyable session i have played in Months. We got three a few turns each even though lag seemed very bad.
Was good to see the Mali return to Africa where they have kept saying they belong. I notice the Zulus keep saying they belong there too, so perhaps they need to vacate South america !! (Just kidding guys)
The Australians were welocmed with open arms as peacekeepers in Turkey, a new role for Aussies to put their army at risk , good to see they have come out of their shell finally.
Was very surprised that the AI controlled EU didnt make any aggresive demands nor attacks. Unlike their excursion into Turkey two sessions ago. Although down in Africa the EU troops are pillaging all road/Rail lines. I beleive the Mali have tried escorting them away but they appear to hav efortified themselves into position. If requested by the Zulu or Mali, the WAAR will volunteer to remove those rebels!!
Speaking of Africa most citizens in the area were delighted to see 20 divisions of Ralfitzers leaving the African colonies and returning home to Western Asia.
The WAAR discovery of Nuclear Fission caught the Asusies by surprise but the WAAR have traded it well to recover some lost ground tech wise. Soon the WAAR army will be revitalised with Missile Capability. Hopefully once so armed peace may be maintained.

It was a nice smooth session. Aussies and Chinese kinda slow and at this rate we will NOT finish before Christmas as I predicted, that is unless someone does something with the quickness. Not an issue to me, but I know Pro is going away in December. Anyway, I know you guys are probably going as fast as possible and all, so I should probably stop b1tching about it
I was genuinely impressed by the Israeli behaviour in Africa. Very professionally handled. Also, thanks to Aussies for their entry into Turkey to maintain peace.
The Greenland province of Skopje was turned over to the Mali empire to accomodate many of the homeless from Africa this session as promised for completion of the China deal. The Mali have close neighbors in Iceland, so we predict the transition will be painless and quick (besides the Africans adjustment to cold!).
Well who knows where the Capo was this time. Absent again!
I see the world through bloodshot eyes
Streets filled with blood from distant lies.
