2001 Players Tourney

I believe there is one or two king x2 tournaments every month on Gameleague. At least,that was the case 7-8 months ago when I went there last time.

As I said before,if deity x2x1 or x1x1,I'll be glad to participate. Otherwise I'll give it a miss.

Well done Cavebear, that format seems very fair and well thought out, the best players will be able to adapt to the different settings and those who are not as good will struggle when settings do not suit there particular style.

May all those who get to play enjoy the challenge and acknowledge the effort you are going to.

just so that people remeber this is not a comp for the greatest player anywhere in the world, the settings used are predominatly used by apolytoners which is as it should be, this is our forum , if you dont like it go back to your own forums !!

I am in the same boat as Smartfart...... i was hoping this was a best Apolytoners tourney...... ie most of us here play deity x2x1 or x1x1.

Really not interested in playing arcade civ however i do appreciate Cavebear's attempt to incorporate as many styles as possible

Well, then guess ill have more time to take my dogs to the lake or play golf. Ill take a pass on this so called tourney since 2 x 2 king was ignored. Its not because I cant adapt. Its because its mind numbingly, suicide provoking, coma inducingly BORING....to play deity or 1 move or 1 production.....I for one, wont lose any sleep over it as I am sure neither will you....I just once, any of you would grow some grapefruits and play a truelly skilled 2 x 2 king game......wannabies

We should all just go with the flow and give it a shot. There's only one 2x2x and if that doesn't lure stratking and eyes then they are full of it - that stuff in Smartfarts thingy!

This will sort out the serious contestants from those looking for a way out... LOL

Why don´t you/we just play two tournaments, one for those boredomloving 1x1x players and one with 2x2x settings? Winner and second of each "division" will play the finals then: one game 1x1x, one 2x2x and - if necessary - one game with 2x1x settings.

I´d love to be in this tourney, but it seems I´ll have to nominate myself, since you seem to have forgotten about my genius . It looks like it will still take awhile before you start. Most probably I will have my internet connection back ´til then.

I like that idea oedo, but i think cavebears trying to keep the tournament as simple as possible. Dividing it in two might be too much work.

Your year rule is great though! Anyone who plays civ knows about the oedo years

There are Apolyton people who will play 2x. So ?
It's obvious who is restricted in their ability.

Some have left to contribute to other boards, and come back here to say how bad Apolyton compares. Which is highly debateable.
They show bad form in doing so.
