Americans or Ausies fight against Germans

I suggest the following to organize the games:
To find the right settings each side can determine the settings of 50% of the games that are being played.
So we have 2 different settings (not more, it would make things complicated)
Than each side announce a number of players who play for one of the two settings. But any player can play for both sets if he wants to.
It is the task of the players themselve to make appointments with one of the other side for a game.
There is no need for a fix number of games, and I am sure we can't determine the number of games easily.
and we will never have exactly 50% games of set 1 and 50% games of set 2.
So scoring is not that easy. To make it fair we should count it this way:
Points of gemans/ americans =
wins of set 1/ number of games of set 1
+ wins of set 2/ number of games of set 2.
It is a question of honor that no group will stop playing one set, if they have won all of there games with a special setting.
max is right. Let´s say german league vs. Apolyton. May be we´ll play with one or two not-germans too
It´s not a must for your players to be in the same time-zone. There are at least 6 hours difference in both directions, so we have to be flexible at all.
Is it now easier for you to find a couple of guys?
In our league are at the moment 25-30 civ2 players. You have hundreds of them.
Nothing is more painful than regret.

Yep, I reviewed the list.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
