Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
With the release of PTW coming up... I was just wondering how many hard core people are still playing Civ II. It's obvious from the lower activity levels in the Civ II forums that people seem to be fading away slowly and steady.
I get about 3 sessions a week these days, and will continue to do so until PTW ports to Mac. Have been playing less than a year, so there's still much to learn -- even with the advantage of direct access to my local Deities.
Apolyton's Grim Reaper2008, 2010 & 2011 RIP lest we forget... SG (2) and LaFayette -- Civ2 Succession Games Brothers-in-Arms
I'm still a CivII fanatic - just not got much time at the moment and devoting most of the little I have to Morrowind - a magnificent game, but it will pass and civ will remain ...
I keep playing as always. I have alternated civ, moo and mom for 4 years, then civ2 and various games since I bought civ2. I have just bought morrowind and released Clash D7 so these take precedence right now but I expect civ2 to come back within a month. Civ3 won't impact me as I think it is not worth buying. There are too many things in it which I think won't make enough progress over civ2 for me to purchase it. Moo3 might be a contender, but my experience with moo was I always got back to civ, then got bored, played moo and mom, then came back to civ. Moo3 will be the sae (if people here persuade me to buy it).

SG[1]
Nahhh... don't worry about that. If anything like that was in the works, they would probably tell me... right...
Actually, these is just a cheap trick on my part. I started a similar poll in the Civ II MP forum. That one was so that I could clean out my ICQ contact list and get rid of the people that no longer play civ mp...
This thread was to see who might be recruited for MP games
(and I actually was interested to see who was still playing in light of Civ III and other games)

So what about you.
Yes! I still play.
What is PTW?
Time to start another succession game. Here's another cheap trick ... will you join us?

Is Westlake going to port PtW and the 1.29 PC patch? The last I heard, they hadn't confirmed either of those and that the downloads of the Mac-specific Civ III editor would play a role in determining whether or not anything else would be done with Civ III.
As to the question, yes, I play Civ II exclusively as time permits. I have yet to get Civ III.
