Yeah don't neglect the Sturmovichs! They will be seriously useful in thining out the huge stacks of Germans coming at us this summer!

They are indeed very useful against tanks and infantry, but not against fighters! We could take out tens og units of the Germans, and still loose a city due to aerial attacks! We should first build some LA-5's for the defense of our cities, and then we can start production of offensive weapons. By Lenin, we must kill all the Nazi's, but we can't neglect the protection of our civilians! If our citizens and cities are save, we will build an armada of airplanes to block the sun, waves of panzers to crush the Germans and hundreds of Katyushka's to blast them into oblivion!!!!

Did we reach a concensus on where to build Sturmoviks?

I need to know to get this turn played.

Yop came the closest to an idea here, and Shaka wanted one in Moscow is the Econ Ministers thread.

            Thoughts?

Does someone know in which month the pontoon bridge is created? We might want to send a cruiser or destroyer up the Don, before the river is blocked. We could use the ship to attack all infantry units at the riverside, plus use it when we want to destroy the pontoon bridge. I do this most of the time, they are quite effectif against infantry, and it frees our tanks to attack his panzers.

Don't we need to boost up the defense-forces in Kotelnikovo and Stalingrad? If the Germans take Kotelnikovo, they can launch attacks at Grozny, Maikop and the rest of the Caucasus!

Yes, but there's a City in the way that does that they are unable to take Kotelnikovo, Rostov.

That Pontoon Bridge leaves Kotelnikovo wide open...........

In my limited experience, the German did not attack Kotelnikovo while we still held Rostov.

But if we lose Rostov, comrades, bad things will happen.

I have had the Germans take Kotelnikovo while I still had Rostov but it worked out great because they took it and then I counterattacked and destroyed the city. That way I didn't have to worry about it again!

Well, with the current situation, we better hope the city gets destroyed, because the garrison is ... well, almost non-existent. I don't blame the front commander, there were other priorities, but now we are having a bit of a problem situation, because Stalingrad hasn't got a very big garrison either. We must stop the Germans there at all cost, because if we lose the Caucasus and the oilfields, our economy collapses!

Hah, if they take Kotelnikovo will 5 Kv-1 come from Rostov and kick them out of there!

They can't take Rostov anymore. its too heavily defended.(5 kv-1's and lots of other units are defending it)
