Those 5 KV-1's are not enough.
The defences must be boosted and every turn there should be at least 2 KV-1 's and/or AA's to hold the city.

Yes but before we go moving defenses all over what is more important, holding Kotelnikovo or making sure Rostov and Stalingrad hold?

The choices are difficult but if we spread defenses too thin then they ALL will fall.

And Summer of '42 is going to be a meat grinder for this front.

Is that possible, I dont know because the last time I tried it with some units I failed miserably. Doesn't this Bridge have a ridiculously high defense?

          Who knows this one?

yes but I was able to kill it once, it took a lot of units, but it is worth the effort, somebody more experienced than me who knows how many units will it take...

Apparently partisan units have a huge bonus at attacking movement=0 units, the problem would be getting enough of them down there.

too bad you didn't plan this ahead of time, but you could have built a minefield right in front of the bridge and that would bottle up the Germans trying to cross.

But for now, can't we just leave the bridge and kill the units as they leave it?

the pontoon bridge is created at an old sea square

I took out the bridge last time, but it took more then 15 units!!!!! It was worth it, because it cost him 40 units, and I could take out all units coming there! But I don't think we have the number of Kathyushka's and artillery needed to do this! We should decide wether or not we try to keep Kotelnikovo. We can't take too many of Rostov's units, because we will need them to hold the city. We could scrape some of the lighter units (red armies etc) and sell the anti-tankdefense in Kotelnikovo, so that the city is destroyed when he tries to take it. Problem is that even Stalingrad hasn't got a big garrison, so we have little options left.

PS I did mention the pontoon bridge a while ago, but I forgot it afterwards -. My mistake for not following this up

We can't even attack the pontoon bridge with destroyers or cruisers, if we don't get them up the river this turn, because they get river mines at the side of the sea!

This we can not do comrade. That was determined to be cheating by the group when they started the Demo game.

Taking advantage of natural destruction is OK but deliberate destruction is a no no.

I thought we could sell what we builded, I thought we only couldn't sell what was already there. I think there wasn't a antitank defense in Kotelnikovo, so we built it and therefor can destroy it.

I thought this wasn't cheating, if it is, I apologize!

                              No apologizes necessary.!

Hmm not sure about that, I just have seen where we determined it was cheating to get rid of Anti Tank defenses. Because if we did that in Minsk lets say for an example and it was destroyed then the Germans couldn't spawn in there. It would make the game pretty easy.

But Minsk was already built up, WE had to construct things in Kotelnikovo, so why not destroy what WE built? I know we agreed not to destroy fortresses etc, but does this also count for fortresses etc we built during our campaign? We can change terrain to minefields and back, so why not other things we did? Erase the past?
