Yes it will for two reasons:
1. we don't know when the road will open again and if it does, Demyansk will be a vital way to get to Leningrad.

I agree keep Demyansk, I pillaged the road as a precautionary messure (those panzers are way too close for my liking currently) and it can be rebuilt quickly when needed in the future...No Fighting here, this is the war room!Comment

Kallinin won't be hard to defend if Colwyn stops the axis at Vitebsk-Smolensk,
