Yes Comrade Marshall, I did leave over a hundred rubles! Comrade Grenski and I shall discuss this.

But you must admit if we are going to attack we should follow with some defensive troops.

I don't know how much we get from taxes, we should make sure that 100 rubles is enough to cover all expenses for next month!

Remember, most cities are most likely running a deficit, we probably only get back into the plus after Caucas cities like Baku are counted.

The freight that arrives in Baku next turn will probably give us enough funds to counter the deficits of the other cities, plus we get a one turn bonus, which is most of the time in Baku quite high

Before you guys get ahead pf yourselves the priority ought to be establishing these three trade routes:

                Baku-Grozny
                Grony-Maikop
                Baku-Maikop.

With the high rade in all three cities the one turn bonus will be very high (sometimes above a thousand!) and the monthly trade addition will also be enormous.

I will discuss with comrade Grenski

I homed them to the UK. The distance also counts. I don't know which route will be the best, but maybe it is: Baku-UK ?

Distance and size of the city play a big role, so I think we should leave it UK-homed, and let it arrive in Baku. We will get a lot of money (likely as much or even more then Baku-Grozny) AND we get it the next turn, while sending it to Grozny will take some extra turns! We need the money now, we can always make the other traderoutes during summer, when movement is better (and when we get transports in Ashkabad)

                    Just my opinion though.

I usually leave mine homed to none. If a none trade unit initiates a route it'll result in the city trading with itself and thus getting two routes at once...

Henrik is right, NONE homed trade convoys will get the city to trade with itself, which is good! Will our first convoy be able to go from Baku-Grozny next turn? (we need the money soon!) I expect hat would be more profitable than UK-Baku although I'm not sure.

Anzac you have quite a force there

What are your plans for May, I belive an attack on Kholm and Veki is possible with inf attacking veki first(4 mv rate) and when thats taken attack kholm with remaining inf and then tanks following up to finish off/reinforce.

If you can do this we'll have a straight line front you and me.

Sure that sounds fine, except the infantry would be attacking Velikiye Luki from a river square instead of a forest square, but I am open to suggestions and that sounds good. I will move in next turn I just wish I had those 4 reinforcements to use as well....

                              Offensive Success!

Both Kholm and Velikiye Luki were seized with minimal casualties and 7 German units were destroyed!

Kholm is in a very good position with many armored units and anti-tank defenses protecting the city.

However, Velikiye Luki has no anti-tank defenses and a large concentration of German units nearby and also is Size 1. On top of that reinforcements are not close and have no way to attack before ending their turn in the city. So it would be pointless to try and hold the city as it would probably be destroyed. So all improvements were sold off and 2 red guards are making a last ditch defense.

If anyone thinks Velikiye Luki should be held or has any suggestions how to do this, I'm open ears

If it is only size one, and has no anti-tank defense, I would only let one RG, because when he is killed, the city will disappear, and we will lose a second RG for nothing. We should use this second RG to help defend an other city
